    Day 1:
Two 4x4 tents, one with SOLAR spec 1040, second tent Mars II 1200 and 900.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414821290.396742.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414821321.044271.jpg

SS tent is growing a wild Thai bag seed 38" tall, Honey B 27", pineapple chunk 27", CBD Crew mango haze 27".
Mars tent has Vanilla kush 20", blue cheese 20" and two more mango haze 20"
All were veged under Mars II with a Solar spec 150. All plants are in 5gal buckets in organically amended soil. Next grow will have better soil but this isn't too bad. I only have about a handful of rice hull biochar and some neem put on top with alfalfa hay and dead mariujana leaves as mulch.

I do expect better results from the Solarspec with white based LEDs but the Mars is no slouch either.

Mars tent has home made carbon filter and about 750 cfm fan.
SS tent has same filter but double size and about 1200cfm.
Both tents have a pair of clip-on oscillating fans and another pair of small fans blowing up from the floor.
Pretty low tech, but not not too shabby. My first grow with the Mars 1200 I harvested 253 grams from 4 plants. Newbie mistakes everywhere and I overwatered so bad I had mushrooms growing in the buckets. Second grow (solar spec) I harvested 309 grams from 3 smaller plants. Now that I have a little experience, I want to see what I can pull from the Mars. I'm hoping for a few 4 ounce plants.

Please chime in. Talk lighting, talk organic, talk nutes, I'm sure someone will talk shit... Besides worm and compost shit ;) ask questions, offer suggestions, laugh at how difficult it is for me to find basics here in Thailand, tell me how you enjoyed an In-N-Out or Tommy's burger from "back home" laugh at pictures of me shuffling around barefoot while I me up 40 gallons of soil while medicated on the floor of my condo grow room... It's all good
Bonus greenie (as opposed to brownie) points for anyone into muscle cars, SCUBA, guitar/music, or motorcycles :)

  2. Subbed! Can't wait to see everything go down! Would you happen to have any Malting/home brew shops around?

  3. Subbed.... Going to be a interesting ride. Motorcycles love them but to many "idiots" driving steel boxes out there now a days.

  4. I am fourth subbed but first rated so really that makes me #1

  5. I'm striking out in home brew, guess most people order a couple kilo at a time from sMe guy in Malaysia or Singapore... There's another guy who sells in 25kilo bags somewhere locally, I'm trying to get ahold of him.

Way too many drivers, and most are bad. Luckil everyone here grew up on motorbikes (more than a few conceived too I'd bet) so they're used to driving with people on bikes. Other than they think all bikes are 90cc scooters and I'll be doing over 100 and someone pulls out right I front of me thinking I'm putting...HID headlights flashing and exhaust I'm know they can hear means nothing...

Tmnt, you can rate a thread? Huh!

So I didn't plan it but the 4 tall plants are all under the Solar Spec. I'm toying with the idea of switching off the red LEDs during the stretch period and see if that helps them stay a bit shorter... Not sure if (assuming it makes a difference) that would be good or bad. Any input?

  6. I'm on board DDP! Interested to see the competition. Good luck with everything! What do you think about that WWxBB that you recently harvested? I just got to try some of mine. I chopped last weekend. It's been drying all week. Just weighed. 110 grams from that one plant! I'm super stoked and the buzz is really nice. An all over body high. Almost like a muscle relaxer IMO. The taste isn't there yet and the smell is getting more pungent. It never really smelled much. Anyway... Enough about mine. I was just curious of your opinion of yours.

  7. Yeah I had about the same results (smaller harvest though). It never really smelled much while growing, but developed a bit 'o stank once jarred. Mine came out to be a pretty good body numb which is just what I'm looking for.

I still have a few seeds (plucked 2 off this last plant too) I'll probably grow it again, but I have enough strain variety to keep me busy and I have probably close to 8 ounces of WW x BB. That can last me a long time!

Just got 6 fresh coconuts delivered, little over $1 each. If I walk up the street I can find them a bit cheaper but cool I didn't have to go hunting and walk home carrying coconuts.

My dry ice never showed up Friday, so I hope to get it Monday morning and break in my new bubble bags.

Today I think I will go buy an aloe Vera plant. I have extra containers now.. Just not much room hahaha. Want to find 200x aloe powder, maybe go to china town where they have ingredients for cosmetics. Also thinking to order 25-50kg worm poop and a kilo of worms to throw in my soil. Think I'll use up the rest of my peat/perlite. I have 40g soil cooking now and that will be all used in 4 flowering pots. Need more for veg :)

Can't wait for next harvest with bigger notill containers.

My buddy and I are sitting here talking about that "body numb" you mentioned. I haven't had herb like this in a while. I hate to blow my own whistle but... I'm pretty impressed for my first real grow. 4 oz's and it seems primo so far without any real cure. I am numb all over fa sho! Nothing I ever read about this strain was ever all that impressive but I really like it so far! Guess that's all that matters.

  9. Nice set up

  10. Cool video man. It's cool to see it in action literally, lol! I'm excited for it. I'm already a SolarSpec guy but always down for a good competition. I wish the V Kush was in the SS tent. I want to see it do really well. Lol! I'm sure it'll do great. Mine are at 49 days from seed today. Little bushes but no vertical climb yet. They are less than a foot tall. Granted, I did LST the trunk over a few inches weeks ago. But still! They are lush and really good looking. But I guess they're gonna be long veggers. At least the longest I've ever vegged. I'd like my plants about 3 ft tall in a 3 gallon pot inside a 5 ft cabinet. One needs room to work ya know! I usually veg around 7-8 weeks to get the right height. Not this time I guess. Tuned in all the way, DDP!

  11. Yeah I wanted the vanilla kush under white also, I HAD to put the bag seed in there because the white tent is taller, had to have one mango haze for comparison, honey B because it should get tall, and I was so impressed with the pineapple chunk how that thing grew in veg... Maybe next time vanilla will be under the SS.
Last night AFTER lights out my circuit breaker tripped. This morning I discovered one of my clip on fans died... I'm guessing the fan caused the circuit breaker failure but odd because it's plugged into a power strip with circuit breaker... Weird

Dry ice company never delivered, will be sometime tomorrow, I hope early... Tonight I get 40kilo of worm castings and a kilo of worms to spread in my buckets and I'm seriously considering a small worm farm in stacked Kittie litter boxes. I have two and use them to keep small plants in, but since I won't have room for ANY more plants for at least 2 months, I'll use those and buy more later.

    Day 3:
1tbl silica/gal of water sprayed the underside of the leaves.

Lowered Mars 1200 a few inches

Prepped my worm bin ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414997953.750281.jpg there was a nice grid of bumps, just used a small drill and drilled each bump and then larger holes around sides. This will nest in another kitty box to catch the juice. I can add another box on top when I get that far, it will have bigger holes to let the worms migrate up.

  14. I have always wondered why do you put the stems back into container? I chuck all my sticks out the door so I was just wondering if I am making a mistake or what as your not the first person I have seen doing this.

My worm guy just left... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415024423.792821.jpg those are 20kg/44lb bags of fresh from the farm worm poo compost. And the tub sitting on top is about 1.5 kilos of worms with MORE worm compost bedding :)[not bad for $50 I think attachment=1608353:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415024602.708620.jpg]

I gotta say I met this guy and instantly liked him. Very gentle personality, he smiles like a little kid when he starts to talk about worms. He just shared a few photos with me of his worm farm ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415024677.375175.jpg thats "Khun (Mr.) Worm" at least that's what I'm calling him. His real name is Keng
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415024779.975174.jpg
And he even has classes on raising worms. Just an all around cool guy.
Only problem is one of the security guards saw us unloading stuff so she walked over to help(doubt she's even 5 feet tall or a hundred pounds but she'ld help) until she saw the worms... Weird face like she thought I was going to eat them. All she could say was "why?" Like it disgusted her hahaha damn, now everyone will know I have worms and 40kilos of wormshit in my room...

  16. How many worms are you putting in with your plants? I know down the street at the bait shop they have red worms there not very big I use them for catching trout and they have wiggle worms or something like that all I know is they jump around like crazy if you put one on your hand there not very big either and then there's the night crawlers there too big imo. I think there like 2.50$ for 30 regular worms and the night crawlers cost more I can't remember. I'm using one of those big rubber maid containers so I was thinking 20 of the little guys would be a good start that should get some good oxygen to the roots I can always add more worms if I have to. Yeah those Thailand people are pretty short lol my last girlfriend was from their she was 4'9" top of her head came to my armpit lol. Your ahead of me I'm still ordering and setting my stuff up so I'll be keeping an eye on this for sure. Keep up the good work
