Hello blades and welcome to my second attempt at growing gods finest herb! This time I will be running mostly 1600 lumen, 23 watters with the addition of 2 40 watters to add up to 350 total cfl watts. 30,000 total lunens of 3500k lights! My closet is a normal bedroom closet, painted flat white. The closet with the door closed reached up to 107OF with all the lights on so I'm gonna keep the door open. I plan on LST on my plants and this is why the lights are so far up from the plants to encourage a little stretching. I've got 6 pots set up in here. 4 of them are 2 1/2 gallon pots (Black). 2 are 1 1/2 gallon (Red). I am going to experiment with the plants. In the red pots I have field quality cannabis seeds from some decent Brick weed. In the 4 black pots the 2 on the left are green goddess and the 2 on the right are going to be purple Durban. Right now I have 4 sprouts. The eldest was locked up in a 150OF cabinet for a couple days during the 2nd week of veg and is showing it! But I have since added air flow and controlled the temperature. I keep my closet door open all day and close it 30 nu before lights out. So yeah! Let's jump in with some pictures! Tuckerjonesisreal
I will also be using no nutrients! I am using cactus mix miracle grow soil. I know lots of bad things have been said about it but I personally find it very good for vegetative growth! I really am having trouble deciding rather or not I should train my plants to grow bushy, or rage advantage of the Height that I have available. Do you think that 350 watts of cfl will be enough to penetrate a 4+ foot tall plant? Any advice is much appreciated! Tuckerjonesisreal
A few changes have happened to my setup! I decided last night to switch back to my good ole fashion. Grow tent. It is 4 feet tall by 2 1/2 feet wide. This way I won't have to have the door to any closets open and its light proof! Here's a pic. The temps stay at 80.1 always. So I have decided to top my purple Durban plant. It is 5 nodes high and I topped the 5th shoot. Want to experiment a little with yield. All in all its day 15 for the Durban and the rest are 3 days old! Doing very well! Still under the same 350 W CFL's they were from day one. About 3 weeks into veg. Purple Durban is female! No other sex showing. While room smells like plants! Tuckerjonesisreal

Will b flowering them all after as much veg as I can give em. Got all the time in the world so I wanna see how much veg I should do. At about a month roughly and plan on going another. Suggestions? Tuckerjonesisreal

Well if that's the case then veg might either be going longer than I expected. Or I'm gonna raise the lights cause I would prefer 2-3 foot plants. About 6-11 inches in height range now. Tuckerjonesisreal

Well yall. I guess as of today my purple Durban lady is flowering! All of the strains are auto flower and she's doin it after about a month. No light switching or anything. And so I just went and pulled out my other Durban that wasn't showing sex and she is also a flowering lady! Wtf?! Are the odds?! Here is both of them. The second pot (red) is about 3-5 days behind her sister. Tuckerjonesisreal
So that's 2/6 so far female/unknown ratio. I'm throughly comfortable with 2 purple Durban plants. Not sure as to yield. think I may go ahead and remove the other smaller plants and put the 2 for sure females into 5 gallon pots. We'"" see. Tuckerjonesisreal

The thing about cfls is you want to keep your plants short so bro what I would do is flower them when they get 8-10" tall that way they don't get stupid huge on you. Subbed in again though man. And here is 1 flower girl I have in organic water only soil on its second week of flower. Under 413 watts of cfl
