So my bagseed "the motivator" is about to be ready for chop. I flushed about 1.5 weeks ago and just 1 watering since, maybe 2. So she has cloudy trichomes with the bulbous tip like lil shrooms. That's good, but no amber at all.. I like a relative up high, so do I want to maybe just wait till I see 1% ambering and hurry to switch light off for 48hrs then chop?? do I need the 48hours darkness? heard it helps also the top cola seems to have pretty bright white pistols. The rest of the pistols have receded into the calyxs' and are swelling and foxtailing. Is this unusual? and also is this a sativa? what a long flower time xD pics, also pls leave feedback, first harvest and serious about gardening
from what I understand, sativa-dominant strains don't get as amber when finish as indica-dominant strains do. i could be wrong.
Sativas can take a long ass time, I was hoping to chop mine today (day 70) but she's going to go for at least 2 more weeks.
Those hairs are still white as heck, from what I understand you want to harvest after the swell, as they put on the 50% of their weight at the last 2 weeks. Harvest once the hairs begin to recede, the fully brown one in the pic is too late, the pic before is about when it should be ready , something in between I bet would be ideal. You can harvest the ones that look ready and let the top go a little longer Sent from my Spaceship using the GrassCity App.
Wait another week or two. The 48 hours of dark is a waste of time. Harvest at lights on when you are ready to cut, the extended dark period will do nothing to improve your harvest. PW
