JerryInDFWs Perpetual Grow - DWC + LED + HPS

  1. Congrats Jerry!
I think that's a cross with Ducks Foot. There's a few blades that have a thread going now.

  2. TYVM!

According to seedfinder, it's a cross between Super Skunk female x Purple Star male. Dunno exactly how accurate some of that data is, but this cross is like 7 years old, so...

    http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Frisian_Dew/Du...

I'll look for a thread when I decide to pop one. Hell, I can't even decide what to pop next - whether to stick with autos or go back to photos, or put the big tent back up and do both.

Well, I may have fucked up. [IMG]

I went in for a good look at the Cheese Candy and found that many of the colas were ready to chop. No problem there, but I had thought I was in a mini-flush with her and the APD #2, but now I'm not sure. Now I think I had them in a light flower feeding. So I might just have some weed that tastes like crap. Not sure, since I did run the nutes with the S.O.S., so they were all converted to organic nutes, and the CC isn't bad even green and just dried, so I'll live with the mistake. Still not going to be optimal, but there's still bud left to harvest. So my bad, but I'm still going to smoke the fuck out of it. Took 9 nice branches and the center cola, and did some tying up.

    Before chopping:

    Some of the colas:

    Now here's the APD #2: (8" Wrench/Spanner)

    20150701_211815.jpg 20150701_211826.jpg 20150701_211906.jpg 20150701_212033.jpg 20150701_212239.jpg 20150701_212245.jpg 20150701_212403.jpg 20150701_212410.jpg

The APD #2 has been defoliated after many weeks of ignoring her. Turns out there was a plant under all those leaves! Nice. That center cola is super solid and some of the others are very decent. A couple three real monster clusters there. Still flowering with white pistils, but keeping a close eye on her.

And the group shot of the APD #2 and what's left of the CC:

Fixin' to pull the leaves off the APD #1 that I have hanging. Trying to decide what i want to do with a bunch of VERY icy trim!

  4. Holy shit Jerry, looks amazing! You're going to have so much trim to make some gooooood concentrates if you wish! Looks like it'll be a nice haul too! Can't wait to hear how she smoked! Great job!

  5. Thanks! Still hauling in. I'm thinking of making some qwiso of of the trim from tonight and tomorrow when I go over the buds from APD #1, which I should have wet trimmed. Don't have enough Everclear to do it tonight anyway. Be fun showing the MFLB with the concentrate setup. I also have the nails and pieces for my bong if I want to do it that way. I'll post any pics.

After a lot of hemming and hawing, I've dropped a Ogre Fem bean from the Joint Doctor. I had a fail last try with one of their Diesel Ryders, so this is an opportunity for redemption.

The Cheese Candy that I harvested isn't too bad in spite of the flush error. These are the stalks I chopped so far. Smells divine in the jars already. Still needs to dry a tick or two, but that should sort itself out in burping the jars:

    20150705_154243.jpg

The CC had been flushed for a few days with S.O.S., and that really clears out any chemicals bound to the plants roots. The last feeding I did was mostly very light flowering nutes plus S.O.S. Think she'll taste fine once she's cured. Going to throw her and the APD #2 into flush tomorrow - just water and S.O.S. The tops of #2 have gotten very purple without me really noticing, and the bud density is very firm - far superior to APD #1. The lower ones are typically softer, so I might just sequentially harvest her too. Will do better pics tomorrow when I swap out buckets, but for now:

Really enjoying the early sample of the ADP #1 and the CC. I'll select a choice little bud from #2 tomorrow and have her to try later this week sometime. Both the #1 and CC are kick ass and I can't wait to try a good sample of that heavily sativa leaning APD #2. I am absolutely awed by these autos. The potency is amazing, and I expect anyone experienced in growing these can produce some epic stuff. I toked up around noon, and I still had a nice residual glow at 5pm while I was barbecuing. Off a bit of barely dry sample and some sugar leaf.

I'm very close to my original growing goals, which were very basic. Easy, safe growing environment producing a passable quantity of decent weed. As it is I'm content with this latest quality level. If it gets better as I go along, that would be great. But as long as it doesn't get lower... I hope I can nudge up the future quantities a bit, but I'm happy I've at least gotten to my first benchmark. Lovin' the new harvest and I'm only 1/3 through.

  11. Wow looking awesome Jerry! Keep up the great work. I have similar goals except I'm nowhere near as far along as you are, congrats on reaching it!

  12. Subbed up and reading

  13. Welcome and enjoy! Not too much drama here, but nice pics of some superb bud occasionally.

So everyone is into flush! Everything could be harvested now and be fine if it were already flushed. I'd like some more tightness in APD #1, but they're not coming along. The Cheese Candy is pretty tight on the upper ends, and those first cuts buds are none the worse for not getting a proper flush. It's actually smokable in a joint, as long as it;s not a BIG joint. Still harsh, but it'll be fine in a month. The APD #2 has very high density in the tops, and if they're like the Pure Africa was they'll be rocks when they're dried & cured. I pulled a small nug from the #2, and it's 7.48g wet and hanging now:

The APD #2. Some very heavy branches and clusters in there. Gonna be some decent weight! I may run out of jars this harvest (Not that I mind one little bit!):

The new Ogre Fem is popped and I can already see the first set of true leaves have started. I'll give her one more day and start the count on 7/7.

Will probably pull the rest of APD #1 Thursday and the other two probably Sunday. Should have a dry total on the first cut of APD #1 later this evening.

The first cut of APD #1 was 494.41g wet & untrimmed. After trimming and breaking down the big colas from the stems, I ended up with 80.68g or about 16.3% - 2.84 oz's, and maybe what's left on the plant might clock in as an oz dry plus a bit. So the QP estimate will be pretty close. A little disappointing but not terrible, and I have a shitload of very frosty trim but no idea of how much trim weight is going to be there after it's dry. It's busy drying now, and once it's dried I'll take about 6-8g and make up some canna caps. The rest I'll make into butter and do some baking. Dunno about the rest of the trim from the APD #2 and the CC. Might try a shot at some BHO.

These are two (2) Quart mason jars. Left room so I can have space to shake when I burp the jars.

The Ogre Fem looks okay so far. First true leaves have tripled in size since yesterday. Given trace amount of nutes. I use those Solo cups like a mini-DWC with an air stone buried in hydroton clay balls. The bean goes in a GroDan cube. The water/nute solution stays aerated. I get super good roots using this technique. You can see an example back in this forum with the Auto Pink Diesels I started the same way. I'll do pics later. Just too pleasantly buzzed ATM to bother with it.

  17. Jerry,
My god man, these pics are insane!
Never seen so many drops of gooey goodness! I am speechless!
Every grow is better than the last!
You should open a school in DFW, teaching people how to achieve these fantastic results. OK...that's a bust, maybe a YouTube channel.
I think you should start a local growing contest, and monthly get together to share and compare samples.
    WOW!!!

So I mentioned pulling a test bud from APD #2. It was 7.48g. Not nearly dry enough yet, and was 22% of original weight. Figured I'd do a wake & bake test. Tasted blah as expected, but boy howdy the potential is there for sure! And the buzz! Sooo nice a blend of head and body highs. Good to go on half a pinner. Fook me! Awesome strain!

    20150708_090455.jpg - 1.69g

APD #1 will finish being harvested tonight or tomorrow. I bet it'll net right at a QP total. A record for me. I think APD #2 with those rocky buds will top 3 zips too. The CC might do a couple zips. Very happy with the whole grow and not having weed drought pressure!

  19. I expect there's more than one ad hoc Cannabis Cup going on in DFW already! As for a school, I'm only a halfway competent grower with DWC & LED. I'm not all that in soil or organics. I grow lazy, remember? I do have a couple videos on YouTube - Even ones on this APD grow. Will probably do one on APD #1 before I chop her.

Tried the APD #2 sample I was discussing with y'all. Very fucked up on very little unready bud. Gonna be comparable to commercial weed

  20. The APD #1 second cut came out around 220g wet & trimmed. I expect a slightly higher %age of dried bud, so maybe 40g's. That would put t right at a QP not counting the trim. Pretty happy`with that.

If I have any complaints about that indica pheno of the APD #1, it just way too many fucking leaves. Absolute bitch to trim.
