Casadastraphobia - my unique fear.

  1. Okay so like, whenever i'm chilling out on an open field, looking up at a big blue sky, i always get nervous, i'l just look up and be all like "holy fuck, what if gravity stops and i just fall up?"

Like, only when there's no trees to grab onto, in the event that i should fall up into the sky i'd be fucked.

So i totally google'd it and it's called "casadastraphobia"

It doesn't happen when i can see the stars and shizz, only on clear days.

Well yeah anyway i'm not going anywhere with this, just thought i'd share :bongin:

  2. cool story bro.

  3. atleast yer not anatidaephobic lol look it up

  4. If I'm in an elevated place, if I look down and than at the ceiling, I begin to faint but catch myself.

  5. just made an account to say the same thing happens to me! it only happens when the sky is clear and blue, and i'm standing in a really open area. like when i'm playing basketball and look up to get a rebound, i'll get that weird feeling. it's not just a dizziness or vertigo, it's more like a nervousness or fear.

it doesn't happen every time i take a quick glance up, like while playing sports. but if i stare straight up in those conditions, it'll definitely happen. i'm glad i'm not the only one to experience this.

  6. You remind of your avatar. (Hes from pineapple express, real name is James Franco) if your too high to remember. Lol, jk man great story!

  7. I remember when I was 10 having reoccurring dreams where I had the symptoms of Casadastraphobia (in a basketball stadium with a high ceiling). I also suffered from bad glare that caused me to lose all coordination. It slowly went away but one time age 14 when I was walking across an oval (on acid that may or not be a factor) I lost all balance and that's when it started, I've managed to deal with this for 11 years and thought I could offer my experiences. I could not walk in any shopping mall, warehouse basically anything with a raised ceiling, ovals, wide open areas, and looking up at tall buildings etc. without the feeling of falling up, after I was starting to understand what the sensation was and what was triggering it I decided to start testing what I can do to to reduce the chances of it happening... 1 wearing a hat to block the height of your peripherals. 2 in malls/shopping centres walk alongside the walls of the shops where the ceiling isn't as high and progressively walk towards where the ceiling is highest. 3 I've found standing still does not help but keeping your body moving (if your waiting for a bus just pace of it helps). 4 the more you give into the feeling the more it will give into you. I've dealt with this for many years and I've found casadastraph comes and goes sometimes the intensity of the feelings are almost to much to handle sometimes it's not even there.... BUT I will say I think there's a close link with ANXIETY whenever I seem to be going through a more anxious time in my life good old casadastraph seems to be at it's peak too... I Have a couple of queries: 1 is there any relation to vertigo? 2 is there a link with ANXIETY? 3 is there any treatments or activities I can try to make it more copeable? 4 why did they kill Joffery Baratheon so early in the last season of game of thrones? 5 Why is the brief 'sensation' of falling up so similar to the beginning of a DMT experience (almost feeling like a non physical part of you is trying to escape the physical part of you, if you have tried it before you would probably have a better understanding of what DMT is if you haven't then try some now... It's okay I'll wait I mean I'm typing this slowly because I know you can't read very quick haha or just read this https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110620164919AAkrRTV the ride is such a similar feeling and I think there's some form of connection) anyway if anybody else has any theories on Dafuq is going on I'm all ears :) PEACE!
