So I'm a musician and someone asked me what genre I make. I said I don't really have a genre, I just make progressive stuff. We then spent the next way too long discussing weather prog was a genre or a prefix (I say prefix). Anyway I have a song that has a electro beat, rap and scremo lyrics, and a harmonica solo and I feel that those that don't stick to one specific genre are kinda left out so this thread is for the favorite genreless to discuss elements of songs. Post songs (yours or anyone's. lyrical or instrumental), what you like/dislike/don't understand about it, and we can talk about the elements of it that make it work/fail in our ears. I like to break songs down in every way shape and form from lyrics, flow, energy/emotion of what's being said, to sound design, mixing/mastering, note selection, rhythms/timings, EVERYTHING! Just be specific in what you're attempting to point out. Ummm... FazTag..! *lolz*
