Quit smoking for vaping, how to keep it up?

  1. Hello everyone hope you ahve having a nice day.

I have recently quit smoking tobbacco and weed. I used to smoke cigarettes and tobbacco mixed joints. I have managed to my absolute delight to not smoke unless it's my e-cig. (Tell a lie, I have had a few but it won't be happening any time soon.)

Due to this development, I have now had to look at my joint consumption. I haven't been enjoying the high nearly as much from smoking recently and due to the tobbacco in the joints I just feel bad afterwards. I was doing too much damage to my poor lungs but I'm trying to turn that around now.

I have been vaping for about 4 days instead of joint smoking. I have owned a MFLB since the start of the year to use occassionally. I now own the power adaptor so I figured it was the perfect time to move away from tobbacco.

    However...

I am starting to get a bit bored of vaping. I have been very much enjoying the high but it doesn't give me that combo of a nicotine hit and a hit of THC that my body and mind are clearly addicted to. I am thinking of buying an extreme Q (cheap enough for me lol) and hoping that a whip vape might give me the kick I'm looking for.

I have managed to get away from cigarettes using the e-cigs. I honestly can't believe how similar they are to the real deal. They do contain addictive substances though so there is no surprise there.

I have a glass pipe and bong I could use to smoke just weed but my preference would be to just vape.

Any tips? Part of me is thinking that it's perfectly normal to get a bit bored of it when it isn't full of chemicals that make you need more of it. Part of me just misses rolling. The hardest part is when friends are round smoking joints. Though I didn't find it hard to say no to a joint. I just find it hard to enjoy the vape as much as I woud have a joint lol.

Thank you everyone for reading! :)

First off congrats on quitting smoking :hello:

I was like you when I first started, gave up the cigs easy enough with my ecig vape but found it much harder to give up the joints.
As you found, you can get a bit bored of a vape and yes your body is probably still looking for the hit you get when you combust, Time will reduce the craving, give it 3 to 4 weeks and you will really start to feel a very good high from the vapes that exceeds the dirty, greasy stone you get from combustion.

As for getting bored of one vape. Well, a lot of people have more than one vape for their herb. They can then use them in rotation which will help get rid of the feeling of getting used to a vapes high.  For example; I own an MFLB, Solo, ExtremeQ and a Lotus. I switch them around and even use them with bong's.  Although, recently I have just been using the Lotus but have have added the MFLB back in as I was just getting far to stoned from hitting just the lotus all the time.

So, in summary; get another vaporizer to add to your mix.  Just beware the VAS. :bongin:

  3. it took me a few weeks to adjust.

now i've been exclusively vaping for ~ 3 years.... and absolutely love it. i do smoke an occasional joint or take hit with friends here and there, but i'd much rather vape.
i didn't have an issue with smoking, like you do... but change to vaping was not overnight.. i didn't get it at first.
also vaporizer quality plays a HUGE difference.

i have owned and loved mflb for 2 years.. when i later on purchased purple days.. i was literally blown away. my mflb went back on the shelf to be used once in a blue moon.

a few years later i purchased extreme q.. and i assure you that the "kick" you will get from it compared to mflb is like drinking a bottle of beer vs a bottle of vodka... no that's a bad comparison :)
you'll be on your ass, if you have high quality strains.

not to mention the weed and $ you'll be saving (how about your health?) ... i use up about 1/3 on vaping compared to how much is used up on smoking. good quality vapes are very very efficient. you'd be amazed at how high you can get from a seemingly tiny bowl in extreme q.

  4. Thanks for replying guys! I heard something about your lungs when they are clean from smoke will inhale the vapors more efficently so I guess that is the way to go.

About the new vaporizer...well I guess I'll just need to get another one :D I would like to get my friends in on it and one I could pass around a whip or balloon. The mflb is great but it has taken a lot of getting used to and I still combust accidentally. The weed savings could pay it off afterwards!

I could smell the people smoking when I was using my vape in work. Need to go to the smoking area. Caught a huge blast from 4 cigarettes and just felt a nicotine rush. It's that feeling combined with the weed buzz that makes it pretty powerful hit on the body. I do prefer the vape buzz though I think :)
