mine has a 63w led panel in it....it's a desk/dresser...so there's an area to the right to put your legs under it. I've built seveal grow boxes and one of the toughest parts is lining up the hinges perfectly and getting the door lightproofed. This turned out to be the easiest way to do it....no hinges.I attached a small metal bracket on the door frame at the top, and a superstrong harddrive magnet attached to the 'insert door' just sets down in place at the bottom and as I angle it up it gets 'sucked' in place by the magnet.

Intake is a sort of zig zag of wood on the bottom to light proof it, then I drilled a buncha holes in there for intake and there is also a smal slot in the back for intake. In hindsight I wish I would have fabricated a wide 1" slot to stick a furnace filter in the bottom. This way it would be easy to change, would help with lightproofing, would prefilter the intakes, and would allow me to more easily clean out dirt and debris that falls in the holes.

The exhaust just runs out the back....on the backside there is a standard outlet box wired in and a in-wall timer to control lights. Exhaust is just 2 small PC fans and pencil holder style filters on each (there's actually 3 pc fans running the exhaust but one was gettin noisy so I just disconnected it and temps have been fine.

here's a messy shot of the exhaust system....  (2 filters are NOT in place)

it's all incorporated into the false back I previously created on it. This false back/hidden compartment used to be a small grow area(see here). It still had operating drawers that were trimmed 4" shorter...but I needed to pull if from the wall each nite when I watered and it was a pain....So I just made the whole front area  grow box instead. Since the back compartment was empty, I decided to use it for all the electrics.

With the risk of sounding like a broken record....I've been growing under some standard store bought led bulbs and having great results(see here for a summary). If was building this all over again I would put a bunch of those bulbs in here rather then a led panel or cfls....those bulbs are the shit....pulled me over a gram a watt on my first time flowering under them.

I have another dresser too...that one has it's own thread. The one above is just for vegging and the occasional auto.

good luck. I'm still amazed at what's attainable in such a small space.

  3. Nice setup! Might have to try your door setup. Thanks

  4. Here is all three of my cabs. The first is my LED veg cab (180W) cooled with 5 140mm noctura fans.

Second is my 540W LED flowering cab, don't have a pic of the inside since its under construction, its still a mystery :bongin:

Third is my 400W HPS and filter/fan cab. The fan cools both this cab and my 540W LED cab which is about 2' away, I run a flex hose into it. :)
