So my last post kind of opened my eyes that I need to research more than just ask people to tell me what to do so I'll try to do that as much as possible :) that being said here it is

    Planted 10/12/14
I didn't germinate i just popped them straight into potting mix

After a few days. ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432104.103114.jpg

I was amazed because they went from that to ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432133.569601.jpg
    Within just 24 hours

    Update 10/27/14 (15 days)
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432278.088540.jpg

They all look pretty good except I am worried about these two. ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432337.636401.jpg I try to keep the all watered well although the top soil looks dry right now

(Going to water as soon as I finish this post and my fan is constantly blowing air throughout the closet.)

ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432477.611026.jpg I have this humidifier in the closet because our extremely dry fall/winter air.

I got my medium and will be transplanting everything to 5 gallon buckets once I get the rest of my ingredients for organic grow from Jerry's guide over on the indoor growing section

    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432588.516475.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414432606.305079.jpg

Also got my carbon filter and inline fan since I live In an apartment complex odor is a huge priority for me reason why I got cf+ fan first.

Will be ordering a digital ballast with mh and hps bulb from eBay on Saturday will be going to mh ASAP to speed up growth (current light output is pathetic... Only good for maybe 1 week plants)

Any help on previous questions and concerns is much appreciated.

  2. I'd say you're definitely on the right track boss.

I wouldn't worry too Mich about the dry soil. You'll be able to tell when your plants are thirsty in some time. They're lookin really nice. What size light did ya get?

Going with 600w mh and hps. The one I have now is like a 200w fluorescent so the volume of light at any distance is low.

Any thoughts on that back middle girl she looks a little sick or something.

You started off with way too much watering. Go back and re-read your posts. Every post talks about watering. They are drooping and stunting their growth because of too much water. You need to transplant soon...they are outgrowing those cups. That will also help you with your over-watering. Start using the "finger test". Put your finger about an inch down into the soil. You need to feel if it's actually dry or just looks dry.

I water my plants which are 10x larger than yours, in week 4 veg right now....once every 3 days. They just got transplanted into 7 gallon pots. You need to get yours in larger pots very soon, and start using the finger test. If you feel moisture an inch down...don't water. Your roots are saturated enough, watering on top of that wet soil underneath does nothing but promote root rot and stunted growth/sick plants. Wait until the soil is dry or arid an inch down. But do these things once you transplant...those cups don't have but a few inches of soil to them anyway. You need to get those in at least 5 gallon containers...

** edit ** I saw your post showing the 5 gallon buckets you're transplanting in. Hopefully that happens soon...what's your ETA on finishing Jerry's recipe? Sorry I just came to your post for the first time. I'm subbed for ya blade. Peace :smoke:

  13. Those pots are horrible. They hold in water at the bottom and will cause root rot. You think the soil is dry but it's not. I would suggest re potting using a smart pot or anything with better drainage. I used those in the beginning of my grow and I warn everyone I see using them now. Best of luck!

  14. Yeh there's three holes in the bottom and I try to line it up with the slits in the dish under it but yeh this is my first time I was really nervous about keeping them watered. Thank you guys so much for the advice. Ps I'm going to deposit some cash tomorrow and I'll order all the stuff to finish jerrys mix so I should have my plants into the 5 gallon pails by Wednesday,

Side note my humidity and temperature gauge came in today.

    Temp is 73 humidity 58%

  15. Oh and ngp I have a soil gauge so I was using that to get to the bottom and check the water levels

Money well spent....and easily recovered after your first harvest ... then you don't have to buy that the next time around. Rinse, repeat, profit. :ey:

Yep. I actually looked at revenue vs expense and with a minimum of 1oz per plant(I'm hoping I'm not shooting too high for indoor small scale grow) and with going for 400$ here I'm hoping for atleast 1500$ and total spending is about 650$ so far, I'll post a price list later on another thread for anyone who wants to see what a nooby startup costs

  19. Just be careful about talking about dealing or selling on here. The implication is in my post, just not being so obvious about it. The mods will shut down a thread quickly. Just a heads up :bongin:  But sure, the profit is there. It's why we all do it...
