1993 Currently playing some DOOM lately. I remember playing this game when I was younger, i'm 22 right now. It still seems so great for it's time. Anyone else remember this classic, or better yet been playing it them selves, just curious. GREAT while stoned, it's puzzling and almost a little spooky.. Love it!
He looks like master chief... I played wolfenstien, doom, and Duke nukem. I proffered Duke nukem. The 3d version was fun, it had boobies, which was a big deal back then when you're a teenager.
Hahah he does look like master chief if i'm thinking of the same guy, that guy from hells kitchen or something or other lol. I've played wolfenstien and duke nukem as well, all very similar style and great games!
dude im 24 and played so much Doom in my day. When i was really young, i would have my older sister play for me while i watched lol.
I am 30 now. I remember how blown my mind was when I played this as a child. It was Corey, and terrifying and fuckin loads of fun. Played Final Doom as well. I miss this franchise. Hope the next installment gets back to that feeling.

Well what I like about Duke nukem is that it is based off the old movie 'they live' which was sort of influenced by George Orwell's '1984'. ' I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum'.

its only based on that one-liner, there is nothing else similar. I like the game but a lot of ppl hate Duke Nukem because of the way the game just stole a bunch of lines from several different movies.
I love DOOM! played them all.. even all those hideous 'master-levels' that were just plain terribly designed haha However, the latest two games disappointed the shit out of me. I didnt like the total revamp of all the monster's designs.. Some were neat, but a few, like the Trites and the Ticks were kinda lame. One thing I really missed the most were the 'traps'.. like say you see a rocket launcher sitting in the corner there, then grab it, then teleport suddenly into a room with like five arch-viles.
While watching this video I was remembering how incredibly satisfying the sounds were. Every time you shoot something, or pick up a new weapon, you get a little audio reward. Now that's just plain good game design. This game was fucking groundbreaking as fuck!
I played rise of the triad. I remember doom had a ''boss'' key. It was F11 or something and it would bring up a fake DOS screen so you could play at work LOL
Never played this for more than 10 minutes as a kid, was only 5 when I had Win95, I was too busy with Sega and SNES. I've been wanting to revisit some retro games like Doom, Quake, Unreal and the golden age of Arena FPS. I know Doom has some insane mods. Any total overhalls to recommend?
