Another advantage to a vape

  1. I don't have to trim all those trichome covered leaves on the buds for visual appeal to the buyer so I get more bud for the buck as a vape is pretty much always a smooth smoke. ;)

  2. What kind of vape do you use? I got an arizer solo a couple years back, my girlfriend loved it so much she needed her own... $160 well spent, we were using herb at 1/3rd the rate, and getting a lot higher lol... And now we'll eventually have a constant supply of homegrown organic to enjoy.

Been really looking at the firefly vape for when I'm out on my own - we usually share a couple bowls in the solo, but it isn't very good for more than 2 people.

  3. I have the Arizer Extreme Q.

  4. Plus it saves that precious OM for the compost pile.

  5. Never crossed my mind....

  6. I got a Buddha vape for in-home use and an Arizer Solo for that hiking/portable. Though, I have started to use my Arizer for in-home, too. It uses smaller quantities and is just easier to deal with.

I've used my vapes to hit up some freshly trimmed, wet bud, successfully; another advantage.

  7. IDK, I just spend $1.25 or so for a pack of Zags and call it good.  :smoking:

$160 is a good 2 years+ of quality amendments and suits my mind set mo betta. No smart phone either, but a $15 pay as you go that has no GPS. Just not real keen on being tracked when I don't want to be.  :ey:

Whatever blows your skirt up I guess.  ;)

    Wet

  8. I got that pay as you go, just call and txt, as well.

I have noticed huge differences in my lungs and stamina by switching to a vape, and those are things I can't really put a price on. I paid $160 for my buddah, have had it for 4 years so far and no problems. I think $125 for my solo, and it's a year old and I've taken that thing up to 10k feet on top of mountains; combustion just kills my motivation and ability for things like that, personally. But, with everything, YMMV.

  9. Yeah, I'm a very active/fitness oriented person, and smoking was tough on the throat and lungs, vape really helps me in that area... I don't refuse a toke from a bowl and occasionally roll a few, but I definitely prefer the flavor and efficiency of my vape.

  10.
Dude I'm exactly the same.  Resist technology all I can, but I bought a Pax a few months back and it is pretty sweet.  Still like good old fashioned smoke in the lungs but as everyone already said there's some advantages to vaping.  I smoke cigarettes so the lungs are not my concern, but the trimming is so much easier.  Separate the top buds and trim them nice, the rest is going in the vape, those popcorn buds too.  Vaping in public is really fantastic.  Couple years ago a friend of mine came to visit me at work a half hour after smoking and I had an epiphany.  For over 15 years I smelled like pot everywhere I went.  That's OK for a young man, but not for me at this point in life.

One thing I don't like is the taste is certainly lacking compared to smoking, especially that 'green' first hit.

I think no matter how much one resists the smart phones at some point it will be necessary.  I still rock the flip phone, but lately I've received a lot of multimedia texts for work that my phone can't download.  It's almost as if the 'man' is forcing technology down our throats.  If I ever do surrender and get one, I've already told my friends to put me down if I become one of those zombies staring at their phones in traffic.

  11. Odd, I felt that I got the best flavor from vaping - especially the first few draws.... But the solo is also known for really bringing out the flavor in your herb (glass vapor path/bowl, herb doesn't touch heating element). The pax tends to really lack in the flavor/efficiency department since it's conduction based instead of convection.

I also like that I can still use my water tools with the vape, allowing me to still enjoy a nice functional glass collection.

  12. It is truly one of the simplest and amazing units we have used despite its fancy accouterments with the remote and all. It always stays cool no matter how long the unit is left on.

  13. Yeah, I've got a mobius stereo matrix for my water peice, and I often use both together; my da buddah and the mobius. My friends all prefer smoking so I def get a good amount of smoke in my lungs. When we're over at my place, however, it's vaping all the way.

  14. I'm still stuck in the past with my glass waterpipe and some JOB papers.  :bongin:

Wouldn't mind picking up a portable vape pen for oil/full melt usage down the road though. Any suggestions on brands or models?

  15. Wish I could help here. Good oil pens are a whole different subject matter than dry herb vapes - might be worth checking the forums over at fuckcombustion, those guys know what's up in the vape world.

The only advice I have - any pen that says it will vaporize dry herbs as well, probably isn't actually worth putting your herbs in.... Might be a pro with oil, but will probably ignite your bud haha.

  16. OM?

  17. Very cool when two people so far apart in age agree on a product. :smoke:

  18. Organic Matter

  19. You mean the used stuff? Yes I put that in the compost bin as well.

  20. I've had my volcano for 3-4 years now and its probably paid for itself with the amount of bud I've saved by using it, as well as bringing it to parties and having a line of people waiting to pack a bowl in it. I also love dabbing hash oil and the occasional joint every now and then too :D
