my point is it wouldn't be illegal in the future.  Sure there is a right way to do things and a wrong way.  My point is not selfish, I want easy access for buisness owners and consumers to purchase and produce the best products possible.  This proposal has the potential to hinder that.  And accepting this proposal would just further the cause of the fat cats who already make a living fucking people over on every end.

  2.

You didn't answer my question. You'd rather liquor be illegal?

  3. Dunno.  I didnt know the dynamic in 1930.  I do know I would have preffered it without the OLCC even if it took a couple more years to refine the proposal.

  4.

I'm not talking about 1930, I'm talking about now. OLCC controls the liquor now, you'd rather weed remain illegal than let the OLCC control it, so logically I would think you'd rather liquor also be illegal. Seems contradictory otherwise, doesn't it?

  5. im sorry but you're making absolutely ridiculous claims with no evidence to back it up. The big picture is that it will be treated as any other commodity good, and money will be used to better society in other manners. Yes there's millions of microeconomic factors affected but you can't make EVERYONE happy, that's why we have a vote.

  6. It's not that bad of a law. A few mistakes are if someone was 18 or over but under 21 and got caught with a brownie it'd be a felony. Sure any adult can grow 4 plants, but they can only have 8 ounces, unlike in Colorado where you can keep everything you grow.

It's not that bad of a law, I think it's socialism though. The definition of socialism is "a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state".

Sure it gives everyone a chance to grow 4 plants, but they can only have 8 ounces.

It ain't that bad of a law though.

  7. Well said.

I didn't even finish reading your comments because you acting in poor taste and with poor judgement. If you dont have anything constructive or appropriate to say, then please don't say it in my thread. Clearly you're just trolling, and I urge fellow members to simply ignore his comments.

Fact is measure 91 is a step in the right direction.

    Here are some examples:

If you are caught growing marijuana in your home today, you can be charged with intent to distribute, which is a felony. If measure 91 passes, you can grow in your own home without a care.

Today, if a cop finds 4 oz of marijuana in your home, you would be charged with a felony. If measure 91 passes, nothing would happen to you.

Today, we must purchase our product through dealers that DO NOT lab test their product, and we can never be certain of the quality of what we are buying. If 91 passes, we will be able to go into a store and purchase regulated, and lab tested marijuana in a safe environment.

Today, many individuals do not have access to marijuana. This may be because they are older, because they don't have friends, or don't hang out with fellow stoners. If measure 91 passes, it opens up availability to a wide range of people that would otherwise not have safe access.

Today, I am not able to purchase small amounts from different growers and different strains for different ailments. If measure 91 passes I will be able to walk into a store and purchase exactly the strains, and quality I want.

Today, most people don't have access to concentrates such as wax, shatter, BHO, etc. If measure 91 passes, these will eventually be on the market along with flower.

These are examples of the progress that 91 can give us.

  9. I'd like to hear some other scenarios that excite you should measure 91 pass! GO!

I'm just excited about the possibility of having weed in my car without worrying about getting pulled over and searched and fined. :p

I have good hookups but they aren't really dealers and I always feel like a bother, so it would be nice going to a store. Plus, hey, fucking selection!!

If we do pass this, it'll be really interesting to see the dynamic between Oregon and Washington too. Washington is getting a shit load of sales from Oregonians, but if Oregon legalizes with better prices because of our better tax structure, Washington could lose a lot of revenue to residents coming down here instead.

  11. VOTE YES ON 91.

Regulate it, and shut the fuck up about the rest.

One step  at a time. We Never voted to ban cannabis, nor voted to classify it where it is now federally classified..

If this is the first stepping stone to breaking hypocrisy and breaking down the lies spewed on cannabis, everyone I know

and I will have a YES say in this. I saw a poster on here said they work at a bar in oregon? then you should know that

regulation works and that you would NEVER sell to minors because you would go to jail. Drug dealer tweaker ass  meth fuckin heads

are NOT I.D.'ing children. Open your mind. Not to mention all of the taxing going back into the community and schools and BETTER

TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT. Tsk tsk people.

    it's not rocket science!

    @QualiD

    Exactly

The first step is actually accomplishing legalization, despite disagreeing with how it's regulated.

Yeah eventually the anti-weed people will start dying off but jesus some people act like it's only 80 year olds against legalization, I know plenty of 40 year old republicans in this state who are still against that shit. If you want legalization done perfectly or not at all, you're going to be waiting decades at the very least.

Let's start somewhere. Let's get it legal first and then in the future we can work on ironing out the details of what is and isn't working for us.

People voting no because it's not their perfect weed utopia are being selfish and stupid IMO.

  13. Me tooo! I have been ripped off so many times by dealers, I now buy in Washington. I usually drive to longview because the prices, quality and selection are better than the shop in Vancouver. The last oz I bought from my dealer weighed in at .71 ounces so I was done with dealing with dealers ;)

  14.

What are the prices like in Longview? I've heard of prices up to $35 a gram in Washington, and I'm buying at like $160 an ounce so noooooo thanks

  15. Agreed! Looking back in history, change takes time and is progressive. Nothing great happens overnight. We can't just jump to our ideal situation, we must work to it.

Prices have been dropping. Prices are between $10-30 per gram based on THC level in Longview. Still expensive compared to $7-8 a gram I can get here in Portland but I consider it worth it to a.) have safe, tested product b.) selection c.) pay taxes! Seriously, I don't mind supporting a state that allows me to buy pot from a store :)

Also, concentrates should be flowing into the market soon beyond the juju joints lol

  17. OMG.  that is my point.  What you are advocating though isn't going to progress in any way whatsoever.

  18. And leaf lady, you know why you can't afford a pot ticket?  It is because our economy is dying thanks to regulations and politics like this, where you can't just do what is right and legalize something.  Instead you have to make concessions to the overbearing police departments, your local mobsters (OLCC), and a bunch of silly rules that just confirm you are a whipped by the cockbags and thier lawers/courts/politicians.

  19.

If you think we're going to go from no legalization at all straight to legalization without limits on the amount of plants or possession before we're old and senile, you are absolutely delusional

  20.

You're so against some of the pot taxes going to police, who do you think is profiting off of the pot tickets now?

At least legalization is giving some of it to schools for instance. At least people wouldn't have to worry about paying a fine because they got caught with some weed.

Do you realize that cultivation is a felony right now? Punishable with up to 10 years jail time?

Four plants may not be as much as you want, but it's a shitload better than worrying about your whole life being fucked up because you grew a marijuana plant.

Again, you're being selfish. Plain and simple. The laws aren't affecting you right now so why worry about anyone else? You're an embarrassment to the cause.
