Correct me if I'm wrong , please, I want to learn , but if I can keep soup temps in check , the rest of the plant can take care of itself, provided plenty of air circulation. Where I live 100+ temps. are normal during summer , and outdoor grows all over.
I ask because , economically, soups temps are easier to control than than room temps . and a handful of fans are easier on the power bill than an A/C unit running
I dont know if pikkerc is able to comprehend english, I have no problem understanding your question. Soup temp is far more important than air temp especially in dwc imho. My tent gets up into the 90's with 1000w hid, soup @ 65* & I've had no heat related issues.
Temps in my grow box have spiked to about 95F on some hot days. Soup stays "normal" (I don't have a way to measure its temperature yet) and cool to the touch so I assume its staying in decent range. Anyway my plant shows no signs of heat stress and when I cup my hand around the top and feel the leaves, they feel cool and almost damp. So I would have to agree with above that your soup temp is much more critical than room, based on my experience (1st grow though so I could have no idea what Im talking about hahahah)
I think they are equally important. Too hot in the tent and your buds stretch and impact yield. Too hot in the soup and you get root zone issues which impact yield. Your indoor environment is the one factor in your grow that you have control of. "Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now." 1000 watt Scrog Journal
Thanks y'all , I'm moving and everything is going in a "STORAGE" closet to be built in the garage , small 5'l x 6'w x9.5'h area, I'm allowed 32sq.ft. and 1200 watts in my town . I had it in a climate controlled closet before , but not the case now. So trying to figure out what will work best .
