And Im really disappointed. So far its given me little more than a light mellow high and I have yet to actual see any vapour at all. Ive read loads of tips and have tried/added: a domed screen, hitting it upside down, fully packed, half packed ~20% etc.. Ive tried all the heat settings with slow strong pulls, short pulls, hard pulls. Ive tried moving the stem around to increase air flow. Ive let it sit for 5/6 minutes to heat up with the stem and w/o the stem in. Im genuinely gutted as I thought this vaporizer would change my weed world. The bud is finely ground and does turn brown after 2/3 sessions. I can taste the weed and feel the heat but theres no real effect visibly or otherwise. Please help

I have access to other weed. I will try that later. From 1-6 just the weed and top of stem get hot. At 7 I can feel the heat slightly toward my lips. Im hoping its technique. When people say slow draw how slow a draw are we talking?
my friend's dad just got one. I only had one go with it but i was impressed. If it wasn't so bulky I would get one, beats my magic flight launch box..

I mean solo kind of sucks in general so it could just be that he is one of the many people not impressed at all with what it can do.
I sometimes go as slow as 20-30 seconds. Try to inhale like you're slowly drinking from a straw. Tilt the stem towards your mouth and lift it up slightly with your lips. You will not get very good airflow if the stem is touching the heating element. I know its kinda weird but it just takes getting used to. You can pm if you want me to go into more detail about technique.
Convinced my friend to buy one and he didn't really like it either. He my have bought a knockoff though, I'm not sure it was a very reputable dealer on Amazon. Are you sure yours is not a knockoff? I wanted one but I'm not sure. Make sure your stem sits in there tight or else you're probably losing vapor/pull power that way.
The solo is not the best portable vaporizer for everyone, but in the year and a half I used mine I did rather enjoy it once I got the technique down.
Now im not sure if this could be causing the problem but... Could you possibly be packing the bowl insanely? Usually vapes like the weed to be lightly packed, for maximum airflow. Also an obvious one but is your weed grinded up enough? From what I know, the drier and more ground the weed, the better it is for vaping. Basically it shouldn't be an effort to inhale. If you're feeling a lot of resistance when you're inhaling, you're doing something wrong
Every vape I have ever used has performed better when packed tighter especially including the solo. If you are feeling resistance with the solo its because that is how the vaporizer was designed and it is unavoidable.
