Possible from direct contact with cold breeze from fan?

  1. First grow but...

Between 3pm and 8pm yesterday my plant went from perfect... To this... Plants have been uninterrupted for days, nothing has changed... And then boom five hours went by and this happens... It's currently not any worse or any better... Advice?

I noticed that plant specifically that part were rather close to my plant... Troubleshooting thinking maybe from being so close the cold temp and breeze from the fan could have done it?

  7. I'm using fox farms ocean forest... I have a grow journal I started I'm not far along obviously that gives all the information about my grow attempt. I've found this picture after hours of research I was able to come to the conclusion that I think that it's a lack of multiple nutrients by looking at a bunch of charts, pictorials, books, websites, attempting to network... As well as the direct fan breeze dropping the temp to the leaves cell surface which possibly sped up the stages of deficiency? I'm not sure but that's the conclusion I've drawn from my troubleshooting. I guess now it's time to research what will be best to reverse the matter, or if these fingers should be removed or if I'm going to need to get certain nutrients or fertilizer. Mine looks just like a phosphorus deficiency, and a few others look slightly like some of the others as well as showing some symptoms.

  8. If anything it will be nutrient burn from the soil you're using if it had nutrients already in it like water crystals and stuff. If your soil is anything like miracle grow, it may kill the plant. I made the same mistake first time around.

Another issue would be the PH. If it's too high or low, you will have nute lockout.

If you have a hot medium, start again. Three hours damage should not look like that...

But I'm open to be corrected if I am wrong..

  9. is it only on that leaf?

  10. I don't think your understanding... This didn't happen three hours after putting them in soil, they have been in soil for almost 3 weeks. I stated that after seeing them at 3.... When I came home from work a couple hours later it looked like the the photo. My soil doesn't have any water crystals or whatever in it, it's an organic soil made with work castings, bat guano and all that jazz.... With a little perlite and coco And soil had been flushed prior to potting to reduce nutrient level and risk of burn, Ph is also a 6.4 my run off is 6.1. Also the soil is nothing like

    ... Sorry hit send...

The soil is nothing like miracle grow as far as I'm aware of.

I hope I'm not misinterpreting what your saying.

  11. Yes only leaf, only plant with this particular issue, the smallest finger on the leaf next to it has black and the finger next to that smallest has three spikes on the sweat eyes edge that are half turned dark.

  13. I know I have some issues going on across the board but I'm slowly trying to troubleshoot and resolve best I can.

  14. Whats the reason you cut the tips of the leaves off? Are you adding nutes?

It doesn't take long for plants to change sometimes. I don't think anyone is misinterpreting you, just trying to get all the info needed to help you.

  15. Cut the tips of the leaves to help allow the plant to focus more on root and stem growth and strengthening because they are clones. That is not something I have done, I've noticed this is something a lot of people do here to clones.... I wasn't sure myself until recently as to why they do that.

  16. I was just wondering why YOU did it. Didn't know if you were cutting off burnt tips or doing it for another reason That's why people ask questions, kind of how this works.

  17. ... I wasn't being a smart ass or rude in anyway, I'm not sure but it seems maybe you took what I said as that. My apologizes... I'm really just trying to answer whatever questions you guys have/had asked to the best of my knowledge ( which I've gone from zero knowledge to two straight weeks of researching and trying to make this work haha )... As well as try to learn this site/app am, and learn proper grasscity forum etiquette, again I apologies if my internet tone came off wrong or as a sarcastic rude remark, that would never be my intentions especially in a place where people are willing to share information and learning a that could have taken decades to learn by trial and error only... I respect you all. And thank you for your replies and helping me troubleshoot.

  18. but in regards to you comment... Like i said it wasn't me who cut the cut, or the leaves... If you wanna check out my grow journal it relays everything I've done and that's gone on along the way... Being a transplant to a new side of the country and in an area that allows me to grow my medicine, so as I said I knew zero about cultivation whatever until about three weeks ago. So... Someone told me that's why they were cut, whether or not that's why in not 100% certain. It very well may have been dead or black or something of the sort that has been removed prior to me receiving the clones... Come to think of it they were not as rooted as the clones I got tonight from the collective I "volunteer" at,they were in a different propagator than the ones currently in my grow. I wonder if some sort of lock out occurred while waiting to be transported. Have you heard of the reason I was told and stated in my previous comments? Is that something that sounds common?

  19. Oops, and no I haven't added any nutrients, just one half beginner dose of super thrive I was told to use to try to help establish a healthy rooting system cause it wasn't happening, be chose not to continue... Tomorrow I'm going to my local hydroponic store and going to try to scoop up a fox farms three bottle pack. But I may just buy their starter pack of 12 different bottles... I'm still looking into whether 95$ is worth it, which I'd assume it is given the price of the three pack, but not sure if it's something I'd end up using everything in it anyway and it just be a waste.

  20. I think I used nutes once for veg at 1/4 strength. Won't be using nutes for veg after this. Only ph'd water. Be careful if using nutes while in veg. Smaller plants need a lot less.

As for your plant, the only think I can really think of is if the root system. There could be root rot, a pest, roots bunching, maybe the roots haven't been formed well.. When do you plan to transplant to a larger pot?
