Virginia. The tobacco state.

  1. Hey whats up everyone. Ive been living in the state of VA my whole life. What are we known for here? Lets see... the most US presidents...the strictest laws and policies.... and tobacco is our number one cash crop, our biggest money maker. I for one dont think weed will ever be decriminalized here b/c of how strict our laws are. A lot of my friends disagree (especially now that we recently legalized same sex marriage here). What do you guys think? Has anyone heard anything about VA weed regulations that should encourage me to keep my head up?

  2. Im down below you in north cakalackey, where tobaccky is also our number one cash crop, and although we have a decriminalization bill, i think policies will never be quite desirable here for sometime.

  3. Right now there's a decriminalization bill in the VA state Senate called SB686 I'd something like that. Don't quote me on the name of the bill. As the bill is written it decriminalized cannabis possession for personal use and even considers 6 plants personal use. I believe first time offences get a $100 fine all following offences get you $200. I highly recommend that if you haven please contact your state level senator and keep an eye on it. When it goes to the house there is going to be a whole new push. Then on to the governor's office. You know how it goes. Also expect the bill to get watered down along the way. I think there might be a MMJ and a hemp bill being kicked around as well. Get involved with VANORML and your local norml. Mine is the Hampton roads chapter. Right now I live in Spain but I try to say as involved as I can.
