Bubble cloner questions..?

  1. Okay, so I've created my first DIY bubble cloner, using an ice-colored container that's not transparent but translucent. I added a pump hose into the container after poking lots of holes in it, it's wrapped around the base of the contraption. All I need is bubbles for aeration, a method of suspending the plant base into the water, and a little rooting hormone. Right?

  2. You will need to ask questions more clearly if you want answers. Plus ALOT of info answering LOTS of questions is in the sticky thread.

  3. Yea your pretty much set. If theres any light getting in, id try to wrap it in duck tape or what not to block as much out as you can but you should be good. What i did was get a plastic coffee container, cut 4 holes in the lid about the size of a silver dollar, and cut a notch out on the lip under the lid. Ran the air hose through the notch so the lid can snap on over top of the hose. im using an air stone but if it clogs, i think ill use your idea of just cutting holes in the hose. as far as suspending the cuttings, i just dropped them in and the leaves are wider than the hole so it supports it up. some light gets in but not much. if you really want to cheap out, you can cover the hole with a piece of duct tape, cut a small hole in it, and drop the stem down. then you get roots, you can always cut the tape away to pull the stem out without damaging the new roots. i diddnt use any cloning gel. Ive tried cloning/rooting powder but i seem to have better results just using plain ol tap water. good luck!
