    Yes it can,and vica versa.Some really top shelf strains smell like earth,pine or hay.

    I have a quarter of berry white, and it's straight dank looking and tasting, but it smells just a little weak. The high it provides is very intense. It's definitely top shelf bud, but definitely doesn't have that knock your socks off dank smell that you've come to know and love. Likewise I had a zip of high grade mids a few weeks back (all that was available to me) and it smelled dank, but it definitely wasn't the best batch I've ever had.

    Yes. If bad weed smells good it might be because the dealer stored it with his dank.
