Hey guys, I usually spend most of my time over in Concentrate Tools and Real Life Stories, but today I have a question for you growers. So, my veg compartment is pretty much set (4x 6100k 19w cfls ((i have one small plant at a time)) in there). I am trying to get a Hps for my flower compartment. I think i have found one,

    https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/89339/SUN-900490.html?utm_source=SmartFeedGoogleBase&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_term=SUN-900490&utm_content=Sunlight+Supply+All+In+One+System&utm_campaign=SmartFeedGoogleBaseShopping&gclid=CLWpupGMwMECFeHm7AodD1wA3w

    1) has anyone used this specific model?
2)could i just switch in a 100w hps bulb to save power?

    Thanks guys

  2. Anybody? Please?

  3. No grow light below 400w, that's just street light.

  4. That is a grow light. Just not with desired spectrums. Look on ebay 250-1000w apollo lights ballest hangers timer. About 180 for a full 600w haven't checked 250. Thunder is cheaper and offers super lumen but the lowest you can run it is 250w. Good luck!

Every thing under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by my grow light.

  5. I haven't tried that brand, but I used to grow with a 150w HPS. It was good for 1-2 plants through veg, probably not enough watts for decent flowers.

  6. what does the wattage have to do with spectrum?

  7. Nothing, nothing at all. Wattage just is a measurement of power usage. You can have a 100w led that has better spectrum than a 600hps.
You want specific light ranges tho that the plant can use more of.
There in measurements like Lm or K/kelvin.
You can look up the light spectrums desired for cannabis and try to find a light that works best but some lights are completely useless. Just like an incandescent lamp. To many watts for the actually amount of light the plant can use.
This is a quick run though any more qs?

  8. And if what you got confused on was, what the lowest a thunder ballast can run 250w. You would be better with a 250w light than a dimmed 600w is what i was saying.
