Bud too dry. Humidipak?

    The bud has been curing for only a week but the stems will snap and the outside of the bud is very dry. If I put a humidipak thing in there now will it help or should I have done it a long time ago?

    Put a piece of lettuce and a hygrometer in your jar. If it goes below 46 RH, your bud will cease to cure....there is no back as the bacteria that cures the weed will die.

    I dont currently have a hygrometer but will look into it. I guess throwing a piece of lettuce or a fan leaf in it without one is a bad idea?

    You can do that for an hour but I wouldn't recommend much more. If it goes over 70 RH, you get mold.

    Gotcha. Well I just tested out that same bud in a vape and it actually tastes awesome and everything was good about it. But when I smoked it it instantly burned up bc it was so dry and the buzz and taste was not desirable. Since I prefer to vape anyways it really wont bum me out too much if I cant continue curing it. I will use your info for future harvests though

    You could also throw your buds in bubble bags and make some hash! Yummmm

    62% for the next month and then consider 65% the following month. After that go back to 62% packs and keep the jar sealed tightly. Open once a month for a sniff or two and inspect the buds. do not exceed the 65% just because the chances of mold will increase.

    I just bought a 12 pack of 72% humidipaks. Is this too much humidity to add at this point?

    you need the 62% bovida paks...the 72% is for cugars...too moist for herb...hth
