Does Marijuana have a negative influence on your attitude?

  1. Ok well my boyfriend has been smoking pot since he was 13 years old, he's 22 now. He smokes 5 to 8 joints a day, I noticed that when he doesn't smoke he has a really bad attitude, he gets in a horrible mood and he's not patient. He says that when he doesn't smoke he feels sick, is this really the influence that marijuana has on someones mood and attitude? I also smoke not as much as he does but it doesn't change me like that. Can someone give me some advice on how to help him with this problem?

  2. After a while I feel it comes down to a sort of mental addiction :/ I get it myself it often is lethargic and annoying it becomes a part of ur routine :/

  3. I get grouchy too after a while without the herb. One time I went off here on GC and had to go back and delete my posts in a thread because i was such an asshat.

  4. Weed has a positive effect on my attitude.

  5. 5-8 joints a day? he's doing it wrong  :confused_2:

  6. Sounds like an asshole who smokes weed, not a person magically turned into an asshole because of weed.

  7. Its not the weed itself..its the addiction

Addiction is its own thing and is irelevent to the subject.of the addiction

Addiction is basically a dopamine tolerance. You need more and more stimuli to be "happy"

This is different of.coarse than a physical addicting where your body relies on a chemical to function

  9. Weed takes my excessive aggressiveness away

  10. It sounds like an addiction of sorts as many have pointed out. It could also be that he is an asshole and cannabis takes the edge off, in which case he needs to work on very being. Its nice that cannabis can work wondrrs but why would anyone want to rely on any substance to be a decent person? I dont know him but you could express your concern, assure him you be patient with him want to see him be and feel like a decent person without his crutch. Exercise together, do yoga, breathing exercises, try brainwave entrainment (also called binaural beats). You can find binaural beat apps free on android or iphone. Exercise releases feel good drugs like dopamine and epinepherine, breathing and binaural beats literally reduce the brain waves to a more calm slower state. If you want more specifics or explainations feel free to PM me. Good luck!

  12. I'm less of an asshole smoking. Also, the resonating defects of weed leave me calm for the entire next day without any to smoke. Day 2-3.. Reality can

One of the only cons of extended use of marijuana is the potential for psychological dependence or addiction. If you're someone who smokes all the time, you get used to this content feeling with life, yourself, and just about everything else. Many of your problems become tolerable, and it's easy to relax. When someone goes from that on a daily basis, to just being straight up sober, it can cause quite a bit of irritability. A sober state is your default state, so when you wander away from that state for so long, going back can be a bit treacherous. This is something that doesn't take long though, and I guarantee any mental claims or claims of physical agony, pain, suffering, etc, are all the result of placebo effect. The mind has tricked the body into having symptoms of withdrawal from something that isn't even physically addictive.

  16. Perhaps that is the way he actually is, and weed temporarily has a positive impact on his attitude...and then when he's without weed he's back to himself.

  17. 5-8 joints a day from age 13 to 22 ... no surprise that could fuck someones head up a bit. i do find it hard to believe he actually did that but its possible i suppose

  18. Deres yur answur rite dere minus the spelling mistakes. 5-8 j's a day, anything more than once a day(aside from water and breathing imo) is addiction - like

  19. I feel like I get more of a "fuck it" attitude when I'm high. And that's not necessarily a good thing when I'm already seen as irresponsible b/c I don't sweat the small stuff
