need help on separating oil

    I need some help on water separation.

    Right now I have the water to oil mix at a 2 to 1. I haven't froze the water/ coconut oil mix due to the fregrence. but have let it get cold enought outside for the oil to get hard. For the last 3 days.....all that has happened is the water turned brown. And the pot is still attached to the oil.

    Im open to suggestions but if it doesn't work I will just strain it

    Sounds like you did everything correct.  Slightly heat everything strain, let oil set and separate, take your oil out.  Worst case Ontario, let the water evaporate :).
