*not really a funny story but i just remembered it and wanted to share*

Me and my cousin decided one day in the summer a few years ago when it was 100º out...not even kidding it was literally that hot. We went on a walk around her neighborhood/ town

Little did we know that the walk was longer than expected. After 2 hours of walking around pointlessly we both collapsed under this tiny ass tree cause it was the only shade we could find and it was in the middle if this house's yard

then the owners came outside with their kids and looked at us just laying face down in their yard under there like 3 foot tall tree and when we rolled over they offered us water and stupid as we were we said no and then they left...and we stayed In their yard for like 30 more minutes lol

try living in yuma AZ at age 11 and doing the same. most summer days were in the 100-120 f area. hell the "winters" there still reached high 80's lol.

  3. damn....I couldn't do intense heat year round haha

  4. That's an average August day in the valleys of Los Angeles. I used to unload trucks in that heat. It was 120 degrees inside the truck and I was doing hard physical labor. My co-workers used to tease me and say "ding!....the turkey is ready!" because I would be cooking inside that damn truck.

  5. haha wow idk how you could handle that

  6. Would you rather freeze or overheat to death?

  7. I would rather freeze cause you just fall asleep and never wake up. Yet if you overheat it can be a very painful death.

  8. Same freeze after a while it will all go numb then apparently you would feel really comfy and warm then go to sleep so that's not nearly as bad

  9. I believe I once heard that freezing and drowning are euphoric ways to go out, plus I've always felt that in the cold you can add layers of clothing, you can only go as far as being ass naked in the heat.

Man ive been saying this for years. When its cold layer up but you cant rip your skin off when its gets too hot.
I dont understand how people survived without a/c back in the day.

  11. Sounds like it was a hot day.

  12. Old School Smoker, I know the feeling. I stayed in Tennessee for a little bit during the middle of a very hot summer. My job all summer was hauling off trees. Temperatures were reaching up to about 110 with index of 120+.

  13. One of the reasons I love living in tn.
Lol we would have football practice at 112f sometimes.
Although I literally have been hospitalized twice for heat strokes.

  14. I thought this was going to be a golden shower story

  15. It would've made for a better story.

  16. actually drowning is pretty violent in the last few moments as you try desperately to get that last breath of air
