I recently bought a new rig with a reclaim catcher attachment. It seems like no reclaim is catching in the reclaim catcher. Am I doing something wrong? and what is the best way to collect the most reclaim As you can see no claim has built up in the catcher. I have dabbed about 4 grams through it using both types of nails and I would think I would have a little build up by now.
Reclaim catchers without the seperate jar and bulge like that seem to work best, but that will still fill up eventually. It takes more like 40 grams to fill up a catch like that then 4. And it looks like that bubble is stopping some from coming down. A lot comes into play with claim buildup, how hot you get the nail, how hot you get the surrounding glass, how often you use the piece, general glass temp, water temp, room temp. Everything.
Dabs on the mountain pretty much covers it; from what I've seen the people I see most benefiting from reclaim catchers are people who smoke >1g a day or regularly drop .2g+ dabs. I just frequently clean my rigs with Everclear, evaporate, and save it up until its something more substantial to do something like winterizing it to make it more pleasant to use.
