Greetings from Las Vegas

Greetings, I am new here (and new to "modern mmj") and it seems that I showed up at a bad time what with the spam and all.  Since I could not find anyplace for mere mortals such as myself to introduce themselves, here it is. Moderators (if you exist here) feel free to move this to where it belongs. Anyhow, I am a retired/disabled engineer, kinda from all over since my job took me all over. For me, the train stopped in Las Vegas so here I am.
 
I am dealing with both arthritis in the spine and some kind of brain-damage (they are working out what is wrong). I am not one to trot out my many woes (unless finding good herb is one) and this is the last time I will mention it. MMJ is dealing with things better than the opiates by a long shot and the rest of the meds they had me on.
 
I am at heart an old-school kinda guy so I will be asking many stupid questions...I mean, when I knew this world inside and out, if the pot wasn't strong enough, you got a bigger bong. Now there is as much science as there is medicine associated with using herb; as an engineer I don't have a problem with science but like science and good music, the two just don't go together naturally...so I must ask about the 1.001 strains I never heard of and have no idea what to pick for what I need. Leafly is only a little helpful and knowing no-one else, I have no one to ask. Opinions on what is the best bud are easy to come by and equally worthless to the MMJ patient; I need to know what will work and what is effective and most important of all, *reliable*....

 

 

Greetings Logan!  That is the funny thing about Las Vegas, it is really schizo. It tries to be family friendly while maintaining the mobster mystique...it has bits of every culture here yet none of its own...and it is a place where cool people come but no one lives.. ^__^ Well, except for a few of us but the thing is, everyone comes here eventually. The bud here is what the bud is but if you are in town, pm me..also will be looking up that expo which is about the only other cool thing about Vegas: the expos and shows. Purple Kush and OG Kush, eh? Interesting. I have been burned a number of times with just about every kush I have bought locally so I have been a little gun-shy about spending my bucks on a gamble (so why am I living in Vegas???). That said, this very last trip I picked up something called Kandy Kush which according to Leafly is actually OG Kush. I have really likes the Kandy Kush althought the two that consistently help me are Cherry Pie and Sour Deisel. I use those as a base and blend in different strains to get a better control over what I need at any given moment. Yes I am an experimenter (and I guess a MacGuyver smoker if you catch the reference)..I will check my locals for Purple Kush....wish more locals lab-tested, would cut through the bullshit...
