I've heard many great reviews about BAS I think he probably just didn't keep the microbial population active. You need to keep on top of watering with ACTs and whatnot. Did you get the actual soil or the amendment mix?
I used the soil and used act and coconut water/ aloe to water occasionally...I think I just got a weak batch cause the guy even said I got the last of what he had going at the time...they looked great until week two flower and then just ran out of nitrogen but they do have a top dress amendment you are supposed to add that I didnt...just used tomato tone to top which helped them get to the end...If I did it again I would rather get their premixed nutes and cycle my own soil
