Found a seed

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by mightyliang, Oct 20, 2014.

  1. so i have no growing knowledge whatsoever and i found a seed. i do NOT plan on taking growing seriously because i honestly cant grow indoors or even outdoors due to family and neighbors. but since i found a seed, i dont want to put it to waste. i can find an empty place to plant the seed and let it grow.

are there any things i need to specifically do to make it grow?

I'M DOING THIS FOR FUN, PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST ME TO LEARN HOW TO GROW BECAUSE I CAN'T !

  2. So you don't want to learn how to grow but you want people to tell you how to grow. Or you think it takes all that weird talk to keep yourself safe.... Google it if you don't want anyone to teach you anything but make sure you forget it right after so you don't learn anything

We're all here to learn, its something most people on here are passionate and interested in. We're not doing it just for fun.

I guess since you don't want to learn the only advice anyone can give you is stick it in some dirt and pour some water on it, anything beyond that would be learning. Unless that is you didn't know you could stick a seed in dirt, in that case disregard my advice, I wouldn't want to be responsible for teaching you something

  10. If you do not care, then find a spot you want it to grow, and plant it. It may grow, may not but it doesn't really matter.

  11. Pointless thread is pointless.

You're pretty lame op. Stick to buying your $20 grams. You deserve them.

  12. Go crawl back under your bridge ya filthy troll.

  13. Unless you live in San Diego or the Florida Keys, just put the seed in a safe, cool, dark and dry place until spring!

In the meantime, scout out places where you can possibly grow. When you find your place, dig a hole and add some potting soil. I don't like them, but a kind with the moisture retaining beads may be a good idea- it all depends on how much rain you get.

When spring comes, watch the weather reports. About a week before what is predicted to be a big rain storm, start your seed using the paper towel method. Have a small paper or plastic cup full of the same potting soil you primed your grow spot with. When the seed sprouts, wait a day so the root is 1/4 to 1/2 inch long before planting. Then make a hole as deep as your first knuckle and gently plant the sprouted seed in the cup, covering gently with soil. The seedling will appear in 1 to 3 days, depending on the temperature.

The day before the storm, take your seedling in its cup to your planting spot and plant. Remember that young roots are delicate and easily damaged, so be gentle.

  16. My suggestion:
Germinate it in a paper towel or don't, depending on how much you want to help the seed along, and then put it outside and forget about it. If it grows, it grows. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Growing herb is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done, and at some point you have to give back.

I plan on throwing a handful of seeds in a field by my house (I live in the Southern California desert area) in the spring. There is a wash that runs through there that got flooded one year and now the vegetation is pretty large. I'm hoping that the city comes and trims the area during the winter. If not, there is a pretty decent spot right in the middle where new plants would gets lots of light and with little competition from surrounding plants.

  17. lol if you don't want to learn then don't grow. Its not something you could just stick in dirt and let it grow by itself and then get a oz of dank buds. my suggestion would be don't even attempt to grow.
