How much were your tattoos and where did you get theM?

  1. I'm thinking of getting inked here soon - just am wondering if y'all could post some pictures, price and if you want to, where you got it done. I want to see if I can find a median ground though I know it depends on the artist, etc. Boobs with tats on them are +points. Lol. :smoke:

  2. I got this tat of a panther head to cover up a homemade tat. Cost me $20 in 1981. I was told that the same tat goes for $200 today.

  3. Damn, I'd hope not.

  4. Honestly dude, good work is expensive. The only reason I have so many is because I have two very close friends who are awesome artists and love to trade work for some of my home grown weed.

Here's a badass lady I got as a birthday present (I tipped him a quarter of some strawberry cough).
That lady probably woulda cost 3-400 bucks.

Like I said, good work is expensive

  6. Thanks dude! I'm definitely a fan of the barter system. Weed is basically currency down here.

  7. Hey man did that area hurt a lot. I'm also considering getting tattooed there.

  8. It wasn't that bad actually. The ribs, sternum, and shin were all waaaaay worse. At least there's some meat up there to soften it, ya know?

  9. What're ya gonna get? I fucking love tattoos.

  10. I got this like a year ago for about $75 and we tipped the artist like $25, so $100 in total. Idk, it's my only tattoo but I plan on getting more.

  11. I have my own design in mind but I want to bring it to the artist and have her influence it and make it cleaner (obviously). But it's basically a guy meditating while is brain is floating out of his body. And I want to somehow incorporate dot work into the piece maybe by have it shaded with dots idk.

Ps. No one steal my idea lol ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1414612053.429428.jpg

  13. Thanks! I'm really excited, I'm just saving some cash to get it.

Nice. You've got the right idea about how to go about it dude. And I really like the concept.
I always give my artist a vague idea of something I want and let them do it in their style. It gets them more into it, which means you're gonna get better work!

  15. No joke it's still looks awesome! I also want a tattoo with that type of style but that's more in the long run. One at a time for me lol. What's that style called? Is it Neo-American or tradition idk?

  16. Yeah, like, new school american traditional. I have a bunch of that style all over, one of my artists is incredible at that particular style.

    Bold will hold!

  17.
Check out some traditional buddhist astral projection art.  It will be very inspirational to you and right up your alley.  Might even find something you want exactly.

  18. Wow definitely some amazing ideas! Though those images seem to be on the spiritual side. Personally I want the tattoo to be more free your mind, don't put boundaries on your thinking and don't let ignorance rule you. More mental than spiritual but the tattoo can be interpreted as a psychedelic type of free you mind (consciousness), in a way it is but it's not the main theme.
