Looking for a car

Discussion in 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' started by Blue Eyed Bong Ripper, Oct 14, 2014.

  1. OK so I'm looking for a new car, my budget is around 5k. I like tuners: acura, honda, Toyota, v dubs, Nissan etc. What models should I look into? (something that has potential) not really looking for civics or anything "basic" like that
Forgot to mention it can't be manual :/

  3. I'm 18 and my mom is helping me pay for it, won't let me get one. And I bet a nice rx7 is more than 5k

  4. Do you need to travel long distances? Do you just need something to go a to b? Or do you want to race?

  5. Correction. It must be manual transmission.

    Go with a subi.

  6. I wish I could get manual, and I wish I had the budget for a subi. Btw I like your profile pic Turbo :). And 123burnthattree, I want a car to use basically as a daily driver, but make it kinda nice too(intake, exhaust, headers etc.) but nothing too crazy. I had a 99 Acura TL that I liked but it's been totaled.

Looks clean. 120k makes me think that it is in need of scheduled maintenance (timing kit) and thats the reason for selling.

02 WRX, Automatic, asking $5800. Obviously no way of telling if the owner is being honest about it being well maintained over the internet. Worth checking it out though :bongin:

  8. Nice find :hello: I'll have to check it out

  10. FC rx7 ftw! I'm into mine like 6k. And it's built. Also remind your mom it's cheaper to fix a manual trans over an auto ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1413344801.150869.jpg ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1413344824.904758.jpg

and secondly, you can find a good 7 for your budget, no prob.  Found my old one for 3500, put a 1k into it and was runnin mid 13's

edit- this beast was 3500 (minus the wheels and tires, think those were around 1300)

  17. as everyone else said, dont waste your time with an auto. slower, use more fuel and way more maintenance ($$$). if the car has been flogged, not looked after or done over 200k the tranny is going to be in need of work.

  18. 1992-1995 civic hatchback. I bought mine 14 years ago and it has 340,000 miles on it now. The hatch is handy and you can haul a ton of shit if need be.
