Urine Sample Temperature Out of Range

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by mbraza72, Oct 13, 2014.

  1. I recently took an instant 5-panel test at a health clinic for a pre-employment screening.  The urine was clean, however I am worried that the temperature was too high.  I practiced and practiced with a 2 oz colgate mouthwash bottle and a hand warmer banded to it.  I concealed it in my butt crack.  My question is if the temp was too high, would I have been informed before leaving the clinic?  What is protocol?  Has anyone ever had an out-of-range temperature and had no idea until they heard back from their employer?  I am absolutely sick over this.  Please advise asap.  I quit smoking 2 weeks ago...after all of this stress, I'm done for good!  For now, I just want some reassurance that I'm in the clear.  Thank you so much in advance!

  2. I also want to note that during my practice rounds, the temp stayed at about 99 degrees.  The warmer felt hotter than usual when I was leaving the clinic though.  Not sure if I was hyper sensitive to it because of the circumstance or if it was actually hotter.  I would just like to know if I would have been asked about it at the time.  The collector did make me wait until it "fully processed"....then she handed me a slip which had no indication on it of anything related to the test results.

  3. I think you're good. They would've have let you know had it not been within range to have you retest

  4. It depends on the lab company and employer. In some cases if temp is out of range they notify the employer and it is up to them if they want you to retest. Since there is no valid reason for a sample to be out of range many employers will just decide not to hire you.

  5. Every pee test I had they let me see the paperwork or at least filled it out right in front of me
