THC Bomb autofems, DWC attempt#1

So this will be my first attempt at an indoor hydro, Using the DWC method. I'm pretty stoked I've done some guerilla grows in the past outdoors which flowered but I was fairly disappointed in the outcome.

 

So, I'm growing indoors now in a 5x5x6 monster. I have a 600w MH hooked up now and have the HPS waiting for the flowering stage. I have 8 five gallon bubble buckets setup, along with fans and led floods (red/blue). I also piped in an ac to the top of my shelter to cool her down. I have the vortex inline with carbon filter, to draw more heat off the lamp. I have all the corresponding nutes and testing equipment together. I think I'm good on equipment for now.

 

This is where she's at right now.

 

It's homeostatic @ 72F & 52% RH The water temp stays at 70F.

 

I started germinating 10 seeds lastnight, and plan on PH-ing some rockwool cubes tomorrow, as well as dumping out my water and PH-ing that as well tomorrow night. I have some LECA for my medium, and can't wait to drop these little girls in the pot.

 

Checked my seeds and I had taproots shooting out the bottom so I dropped those bad Lil girls into 5.8 ph rockwool cubes set them in Styrofoam cups and and drooped them in a dome. Hopefully in the next 48 HRS I'll see them popping out the top.

This morning, two of the seeds with the longest taproots exploded out of the top of the rock, so I moved the dome inside the tent so they can soak up some MH. I'm really hoping I have @ least 6 more do the same. Still on the edge of my seat.

 

So this is where were @ tonight, I hope they're doin ok.

 

I lost one it's first set of leaves never came out. it's ok though these are the little girls I have and they're doing good on day 7. Waiting till I see a little more root come out of the bottom of the rockwool cube they're in. I can only keep 8 though, I'm thinking about losing the one in the pic with the hygrometer on the right side, I set the cup to the left. Unless she makes a huge comeback and blows past some of the others I'll have to say goodbye in the next 72 hrs.

 

Day 10, rehydrate cubes and added more leca. Avg. root growth looks good.

 

Transplanted 8 into 5 gal buckets with no reservoir tonight. Gave first dose of nutes tonight since the seedling stage is officially over. The ph is now 5.8-6.0 and the tds is a little over 600 which I know is a little low, but I didn't want to hit them full blast. The water temp. Is at 73 and the individual plant Temps are from 77-79. I have also introduced co2 into the environment today via boost bucket.

3 days into the veg. cycle and my ph will rise from 5.8 to 6.5ish every 6-8 hours. My tds is from 990- 1008 although my temps and humidity are stable I wonder why the ph jump. I think I might also have a indica pheno compared to the rest which have just exploded. All seem healthy as can be though which I am pleased about.

 

This is the one I think might be the indica pheno, it's smaller for sure much darker all around and seems to be dragging along in comparison to the other 7.

 

The rest of them all look just like this one. Lighter in color much larger leaves and seem just to be exploding every time I take a peek throughout the day.

 

I had too many pots not enough light I started having some wilting, so I reduced to 6 and now will abide by the lighting rule of thumb, although it's possible to use less than 100w per plant, it's just. Other possible for this guy at this time.

 

Lessons learned; pythium smells and brown roots aren't healthy! I started using cannazyme and you can tell the difference!

 

Switched to micro flora and flora grow even bigger difference grew over an inch today alone.
