What if the internet stopped?

On the short term, things would be a cluster fuck while new infrastructure was created, or perhaps old infrastructure was resurrected.
 
But after that, the world would be fine. Humans existed just fine for quite a long while before the internet. In fact, I have fond memories of life before the net.

Maybe they would have to legalise marijuana to tranquilize people until they figured out how to switch it back on again (no snitching now guys)

 

Sounds good! Would work for me.. But I dont think marijuana would be sufficient enough for those who are highly reliant on the internet, maybe some kind of strong sedative might help.

 

This is something Id love to see!!! This will show how much intelligence, strength and dignity humans really have today. If any lol. Id love to see this. I would love to see this.

 

I couldn't do it. I've become too invested in my online life. It's not like I don't go out and hang out with my friends. I would just have absolutely nothing to do at home. I only have so many books and dvds and they would run out eventually.

The internet has been good for educating the public about cannabis.

 

Having no internet has nothing to do with living in trees with monkeys or being Amish. There should be a backup plan for such event. But no, we think the internet will live on. Theres an ending to EVERYTHING. Internet included. Maybe not today or the next 50 years (if the world still exists then) but there is a doomsday eventually. Its just a matter of WHEN not IF.

 

Test the waters. Switch it off for one day. LOL

 

This is the main reason I save porn and other media to my computer.
 
If the Internet died, I'd be lost for a while, but I'm sure I'd get over it.
