Early frost

  1. So it got down to about 35 last night (unusual to get that cold this time of year) and i woke up to a small frost this morning and i have an outdoor plant that has about a week and a half left... do you guys think it would still be alive? That was the only night that will be that cold. Nights are usually about 45-60 degrees at night and about 60- 80 during the day

  2. It will be okay. I grew a ton outdoors and I live in NY. We inevitably got frost at the end of the grow season. If I still had plants I would cover them at night with something to prevent the frost from damaging them. Just take the covering off in the morning. They retain heat under the covering and you'll push them a little longer in the cold.

Keep in mind this will not work for long periods of extreme cold and your plants may show signs of stress. The worse thing that ever happened to mine were dark purple colors and a change in the taste of the end product.
