  1. Here's some beats I've made real quick trying to familiarize myself with FL, some of them may be a little repetitive but give them a listen and let me know what you think. These are the ones I feel were better amongst the 40-60 I've made over the past few months

So give me feedback, and if you are inspired to write lyrics to any of them please post them I'd love to hear some

  2. I'm not the best with FL, but these aren't bad for starting up. I make all of the beats for my own songs with Garage Band, check 'em out, brotha, nothin' like some shared inspiration between the makers of music and the dreamers of dreams haha!

  3. I'm liking the beats and the lyrical content is interesting. My suggestion would be to mess around with the vocals levels on the song

  4. Thanks brotha, yeah, like I said I'm just startin' out too with beat making I've always been more of a message over music artist, I don't like to alter the actual verse a whole lot but I can screw around with it mos def. Keep it real, brotha!

Just an FYI on my playback the drums are LOW and drowned out by that vocal sample. I know it's a tag to keep wack rappers from adding their special sauce to your beats without your permission, but the kick-snare is what drives hip hop. Are you mixing with headphones or speakers? Every tutorial will tell you to use speakers, which is good advice. While something might sound dope with headphones on, you're really not hearing it the way other people will hear it. With speakers, on the other hand, you get a better sense of levels.

  7. Yeah, man, I mean like I said, I'm no professional, I taught myself how to make beats a month ago and I just basically hope that if I deliver a meaningful message it won't matter as much, but I guess that doesn't matter for shit anymore. Thanks anyways, man.

  8. Want to get some input on the stuff I made... :smoke:
