so basically i put tobacco in my bowls and i change the water in my b everyday or at the very worst every other day and the amount of tobacco is slowly but starting to increase. Ive tried shaking it out with water,bongcleaners, alcohol, salt, theres always a some left and also take a long ass time to do. any tips ??
I use this stuff http://m.homedepot.com/p/ZEP-128-oz-Citrus-Heavy-Duty-Degreaser-ZUCIT128/100676344/ Fill up my bong and let it sit for 2-3 hrs and it comes out looking new. I dont* use tobacco in it tho so im not sure how much harder that stuff is to clean out.
ohhh so you have actual pieces of tobacco inbetween the percs? well i would suggest filling it up with coke....the soda not the....anyway, have you ever seen what a can of coke will do to an old penny? a toilet bowl? your insides? i feel it would break it down enoug, and even seem to remember and old OLD thread here on the 'City where a blade found a bug in his bong, and pretty much let it break down in some coke. second suggestion, stop putting tobacco through there! haha, either avoid it completely, or get an ashcatcher.
yea the coke sounds like it'll work, but would that make it really sticky on the inside? or would just putting in some alcohol after the coke do the trick?
sorry, forgot to mention that, yes clean as normal after it has dissolved. theres a few other products that you could try, but coke is probably the cheapest route.
Simply green simply green simply green! I used the ISO and salt method for years, tried simply green once and havnt looked back. You can just soak it in it over night, wash it out in the morning and your piece looks like it did the day you bought it Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
yea tried the coke let it sit overnight with little to no effect. ive tried sea salt + 90% alcohol doesnt work either. anything safe i can put in it that could dissolve it?
you might need it longer than a day but something else you might wanna try is clr. leave it in there for 36 hours minimum and rinse and wash and rinse and wash...best of luck.
time is key here, you gotta let it soak minimum 24 but 48 with a fresh coke refill midway would be best. you can clean glass with almost anything so long as you rinse well.
If all else fails use straight CLR. Fill it up, shake it on occasions. Even better if you can get everything submerged in the CLR. Any sort of ash and even resin will simply get dissolved in the CLR. It's the go to cleaner for many restoration buffs for glass cleaning like chandeliers.
Like Simply Green, I have used Grunge Out and oh my god, the piece looked just like it did the day it came out of the box. Just fill'er up and let her sit over night. You can then use a coffee filter and filter the Grunge Off back into the bottle and re use it. That thing will be spotless.
So are honeycomb and shower head the same thing? They look the same but idk if I'm just uneducated on the subject

no theyre not google it, honey comb perc literally looks like honeycombs as a shower head is usually slits
Maybe soak it in a bottle of isopropol alcohol. The bottles are cheap and I find effective at cleaning many things.
