Growing for high CBD

  1. I am growing some Harlequin clones and I want to know if there is anything I can do as the grower to maximize cbd production and minimize thc content.
    Thanks for your input!

  2. I work at a testing lab sometimes and I have encountered people trying to solve this problem. The question is which conditions help increase the total CBD potency, and which help increase the CBD:THC ratio. One belief is that the ratio is the same. We've found that the ratio in the vegetative leaf is a good predictor of the plants ratio throughout its life cycle. One very careful grower has logged results through indoor, light dep, and long season grows and has found that long season grows produce slightly significntly greater CBD:THC ratios. I've personally tested a plant that came back in the 45:1 CBD:THC ratio from an outdoor garden. It's possible that these differences were not statistically significant.

Yes you can recover a few lbs of CBD oil per acre of some hemp verietals. I've heard legends of hemp cultivars that are very potent and are being reserved for large CBD projects. I personally think that legal cannabis L. sativa varietals are going to be the way to go when we can get away with large cultivation projects.

  3. Try to get of a strain called Charlotte's Web.  It is a very high CBD and a very low THC strain made specifically for a little girl to help combat seizures.

  4. I just received my first shipment of clones of Charlottes Web 2 weeks ago.  I have them under a t5 setup for now.  I am using the Sea of Green method for my flower cycle. I will be using 12/12 cycle with regular weekly nutrient cycle. Im hoping for less than .5% THC and around 17% CBD.

  5. That should do it.

  6. Would you be able to share your source of shipped charlottes web clones?
