Father in Law. Colon Cancer.

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Intuition77, Oct 1, 2014.

  1. Initial introduction story. Skip below to Father In Law's colon cancer.

But I want to give you some context of my frustration in my own experience before we get to my Father in Law's problem.

    ----------------------------------------------
    Hello,
I haven't posted here much with my registration. Almost two years ago I was here looking for info on CBD strains, like many people, but for treating my head/back injury that put my autonomic nervous system out of order.

Eventually I did find some Harlequin in Los Angeles and it did help. I remember being so worried I was going to get stoned that I started very light. And when I didn't really feel much but a slight tingly sensation down my back I just put the stuff away after the first try.

What was surprising though was that many of my sharp pains in my back and chest during the last two years, which occurred daily and I had just become used to them, didn't happen for almost two weeks.

When one came back I realized it had been a while. I had to stop and wonder. Was it the Harlequin?

So I tried going another day. Though the pain was much less than it had ever been it was back regularly the next two days. Though much more tolerable and I had become used to much worse by about double.

There I was, going back to trying the harlequinn again. Also not really holding it in. Taking one puff and blowing it out. Again. Feeling the tingly sensation down my back for a few minutes and a general feeling of well being the rest of the day. Nothing even as invasive as how caffiene can make me anxious.

Well. I didn't feel any pains again for about a month. I didn't even have to use it regularly. So of course I tell people about it. I get the usual strange glances like as if I was a stoner suddenly.

So I did do this till about March and did not ever have to use it again. It was gone with some minor things during digestion but no more pain. I figured the neuro protectant part had done its job for me.

I gave the rest away to a friend who needed pain killer and was tired of hitting the aspirin all the time.

Well. Later that year in the summer I slammed down (pads and helmet and everything) skateboarding.

This was just the usual bruising pain all around my arm and leg and shoulder one has for a few days to a week or two. So I ordered from Goddess Delivers the really high CBD strain known as AC/DC 20%. Used it and it really did the job. Almost too well. Much more powerful overall. Such that the first twenty minutes was not like being stoned in the mind but definitely couch lock. Ok this was really powerful.

Anyways. Another month later. Same kind of thing. Skateboard wreck (really need to stop but Venice Skatepark is so good). When I go back to using the ACDC I feel a little different. About 7 minutes later I realize I am getting stoned. Yup. Another 7 minutes. Yup. I am very very stoned. Called work told them I was sick and had to stay home. Pretty much was nuked for about an hour and then spent the next 4 hours coming down. Eating ice cream. Watching cartoons. etc. Then I spend the next three weeks completely dim. I couldn't think of words. I forgot where I put my keys. I was setting things down not in their usual places. I just wasn't good at this as I was when I was a teenager.

So. I email Goddess Delivers and ask them if they sent me some of the wrong stuff because the CBD isn't supposed to get me high and I got very high. Their response was that they didn't have enough to send me a full 8th so they included some other strain to make up the difference. Well. It all looked the same to me. So now I had a large amount of weed that I had no idea what was what in the same large purple plastic cannister.

I give some to my friend who is an advanced THC user. He eats the 20%+ THC regularly.  He said it was pretty strong.

Goddess delivers apologizes. Realized they have abused my trust and says they'll send me a free amount of any strain I wanted. I want the CBD strains. They have none. Now what?

So I move on. That was a year ago in Oct 2013. I got some of the Dixie botanicals $180 dew drops. Its about the same feeling as the first ACDC hit I took but much easier overall. Then I read about the lady who used to work there slandering them. So I don't know if I should even take anymore.

This is my frustration as I am sure is everyone elses.

    ------------------------------------Father in Law Colon Cancer.

Now my wife's dad has got colon cancer. She knew I had done lots of foot work about the CBD stuff. She was never interested in it because she had a family of NA./AA addicts and did not want to really get into it until more stuff came out about it.

Now she has looked at everything like I did a few years ago and we are trying to get some help for her dad's stage 2 possibly stage 3 colon cancer. Problem is they both look to me on what to get.

I know that even the tinctures like Dixie Botanicals or CIBEX are really just for pain and aren't the industrial grade needed for cancers and seizures.

I see these RSHO which is real scientific hemp oil which strangely has the same acronym letters as Rick Simpson Hemp Oil. I see that the world has really caught on to this CBD/THC healing and the consumer is suffering the trails of snake oil salesmen.

So I have come here again to look for information. Two years ago I was just trying to find some strains I could grow myself at home in CA like Harlequinn. Now I am looking for the real deal and realize that I may have to make my own using the methods on Youtube. But Before I do I wanted to come here, knowing that even asking this information is probably against forum policy in many states, and just see if anyone can point me in the right direction in general.

I remembered Granny's thread so I will start there.

I am back and forth from CA to CO where her dad does Tow Truck and Mechanic work. And they are looking to me for answers on this. So I guess I wanted to ask if there is any reputable sources for this colon cancer treatment or if its still frontier time and I need to start distilling myself?

  2. If I can be so bold…I am currently making my own oil out of cannabis. I did it this way for one reason only…I want to know what I am taking and I had NO RELIABLE source for the oil. I am not even for sure what the going rate is for 5 grams of oil. I can usually get 4 good grams out of 1 oz. I am taking it for lymphoma cancer in my torso. I have one shot at this and worrying about whether or not I have the "correct" materials for killing the tumor is not something I want to entertain. Ideally, I would grow my own but time is of the essence. I would first make sure I have indica strains, get a steady source and order a case of everklear. Two liters will usually do about 2 oz of cannabis.

After taking the oil for a month now I must say that it is working…don't have anything to prove that other than what I feel inside my body.

Yeah, I figured I'd have to go my own route. Which ultimately, in this frontier, what many people should do just so we all don't become too dependent on big govt and pharmaceuticals again.

I was thinking of getting some Charlotte's web (some available in CA here and there) and maybe a half thc half cbd strain. That way the THC will stop the spreading and the CBD and THC can kill the cancer.

Thankfully I have access to a well ventilated facility and I'll probably use the method shown here.'

I plan on documenting this completely.

  4. Bumping, been researching the exact same condition, same circumstances of father in law. While I am familiar with the ability to make RSO using everclear as a solvent I do wonder if using badkittysmiles method using hash instead of using the entire plant - but making more of the meds bio-available through the encapsulation method may be just as useful. Seems there has been a lot of information indicating RSO could be overkill as the body just passes what it cannot use but I wonder if it can be equal or better using coconut oil and hash to start with. I'm currently researching suppositories to treat colon cancer. I wonder if RSO people are making suppositories with straight RSO or using coconut oil or something else as a vehicle to administer.

  5. Just wanted to update officially! While it has been a crazy and strange road my father in law is cancer free, with no growth or cancer cells currently present! Due to the size of the tumor they removed with the lobectomy they do want to start him on a round of chemo, which I am fully against. He is still taking only about 50-100mg Girl Scout Cookies hash capsules made with coconut oil and soy lecithin. Background recap - colorectal cancer and lung cancer both stage 2. While in hospital and awaiting healing the many complications and other procedures, a leg artery surgery due to plaque and had been having many seemingly "falling apart" issues since the cancer started taking hold, high calcium, heart arythmya, right when he also started cannabis treatment, but he was a daily smoker, not too heavy though. Marlboro Reds, many packs a day forever - also done with. It was good I ended up NOT going with RSO because this patient is as picky as a toddler with food and also with no teeth! So RSO would have been entirely too expensive given the situation and a waste because I would not have been able to get him to eat it, even the capsuled up RSO burpees would have made him unhappy, hash capsules worked because you can always swallow them down, as long as you are digesting things okay. Also, as I have mentioned before elsewhere, taking them sublingually for more immediate pain relief was very helpful. I must point out, this patient was a daily opiate abuser as well BUT since taking the science cannabis capsules he has been opiate free for the first time in his adult life since maybe Vietnam. So thank you to the community and contributes and full speed ahead for all. He just got his license renewed and went to a town baseball game and was watching the fireworks on Friday night in his hometown. The surgery took very long and it was because the light was so inflamed and stuck to the chest wall, but they did it all laproscopically until the tumor was too big to be removed, so they had to make a 7cm incision to remove the mass! Hopefully this stuff gets aggregated and is addressed in the legal senses that make it more available to everyone, it could really help heal the sick, and I stand by advocating for as long as I am able.

Both my Hash based and Alcohol extraction RSO style cap are 50% coconut oil and a 1/6th lecithin for maximum bioavailability.
I've unfortunately just lost my Cancer patient after nearly 3 years past what the medical industry said she had and both I and her entire family firmly believe it was Cannabis that made it all possible to give her 3 more years with her loved ones.

  7. I do truly believe your method is the most efficient, capping up sludge is the best. Makes me think of my ansestors and how they always had poppies, even when they came to America! My Grandma knew what herbs to save and when, she made castor oil she pressed herself! This goodness from plants for centuries before I was here, boggles the mind, but it will be here long after we are all gone too.

Sorry to hear about your patient also. One I was trying to reach more toward the end also recently passed. He had esophageal cancer and had at that point been on a feeding tube for months. I wanted them to try the oil as a paste in the mouth because the stuff they had was glycerine based. He did get relief with cannabis though and I was glad his family had it as a tool throughout their fight.

  8. You may find some helpful information from people who have gone through colon cancer. Have a listen here: colon cancer – Cannabis Health Radio
