So I decided I want to build a grow box of my own, but I've hit a few questions during my design phase. Plan is to build a moveable wooden box 72x48x48 in my shed. The shed is pretty large with vinyl siding but its not insulated. Central VA fall/winters aren't too bad. Maybe at low average of 35f-45f but usually warmer, or sometimes lots. Should I plan on a 2x4 frame and insulated box, or will 600w hid/multi CFLs (undecided) be sufficient to keep it the plants warm enough? Also, would I need a carbon filter, if the shed is 25ft from my house and 80ft-100ft from my closest neighbour. Im going to begin buying materials this week and im looking forward to the project. I can't wait to become self sufficient and knowing exactly how and where my smoke came from and using my ocds for good! By precisely and meticulously caring for them with a whisper of a touch.
