  3. um you should never spray anything on a budding plant

  4. Wrong. I've been growing very successfully for 10+ years. Neem oil is a natural fungal and pest control, that can be used ( and I have many times over the years) when in flower, I've used it within a week of harvest and it hasn't affected the test at all!

  5. Can honestly say you're the first blade I've seen say something like that lol.

Are you super careful about where you spray or kinda shield the bud with your hand or something? Lol

  6. Well at this point he's got two choices... Chop and have moldy bud that'll make you sicker than shit .. Or spray Neem and try to get rid of the shit.. You don't want to drench a bud anytime in flower. I coat the leaves and mist the bud early in the day so it can dry before the sun gets too intense.
Different people do different things and get different results, I'm sharing what works for me and have dispensaries around Portland waiting for my harvest every year.

  7. Interesting sir very interesting.

  8. 2nd week of flower is pretty early.. Like I said above. Don't drench the actual bud.. Coat the PM where you see it on the leaves and mist the buds. If it's bud rot that's a different story... But the PM I'm used to seeing usually is on the fan leaves.
Neem is an excellent preventative measure but I've had PM and used Neem on a 7 day cycle and gotten rid of the shit.
If you have developed Buds and you have a fungus or bug " inside a developed bud" you're in a bad way!!

  10. Yeah, don't spray neem oil on your buds. I don't know how petert mixes his up or does his spraying or anything, but in my experience it sticks around pretty damn stubbornly and definitely affects taste. I wouldn't want neem oil anywhere near my plants above ground after they started blooming.

This is also the first I've ever heard of it used for mold, rather than just pest control and/or nutrition. PM isn't actually even that bad of a mold for a person compared to almost any other kind you might run across. Still isn't fun, but I wouldn't drench my crop in neem to try and remedy it.  :hide:

  12. For me, once the mold happens it's too late.
First, once mold is there, you can't kill it or make it go away. The affected bud is trash.
I live in a very damp climate. What I did is build a structure to cover my growing patch. It's not air tight or climate controlled. It's just a shelter from rain and drizzling fog. That helped to a degree. The biggest help to combat mold is pest control. Caterpillar shit is absolute guaranteed mold. I start my pest control routine in early veg, and continue through the 3rd week of flower. Staying on top of this has been my success. Before, I was loosing maybe 2/3rds of my crop to mold. Now I might loose 1% or less. I still gotta be looking for it, but boy what a difference. I might discover a pinch or two of mold on one of my plants. That's usually the one that gets harvested first.

For pest control I spray Spinosad and BT. Normally start when the plants are about 2 months old, the males have been culled, and females in their final living spot. These sprays are bacterium that break down in sunlight, so have to be reapplied. I find once a week to be sufficient, but during heavy infestation years, I may up that to twice a week for one or two weeks as needed, then back to once a week. When you get a handle on the pest problem the mold issues will follow suit. Bugs shit where they eat. Shit promotes mold. Like shooting yourself in the foot and watching gangrene take over. Dealing with mold is a preventive action. You gotta deal with it from the start, before you have it.
When I harvest, I wash my cuts in a bath of hydrogen peroxide and water. (see youtube video by Jorge Cervantes)
Growing outdoors, dead bugs, bug shit, sand, pollen, anything that blows in the wind lands in your plants. I find that washing my harvest makes for a much smoother smoke. My throat, chest, and lungs can tell the difference between washed and unwashed weed.

    Hope some of this helps.

Thank you yes it helps I will keep this in mind, its what I did just hacked and sprayed til I saw some on the buds.harvested early and detoxed the area like 3x,I now have happy plants and are going in flower with no issues,I've been foliar spaying once a week with pmt,a great product a little on the expensive side at 35$ for 100ml, but I treat them like church on Sunday and have been able to control the atmosphere of their habitat,I really appreciate the feedback if ever you want a pic or description of the product I'd be more than happy to share!
