  1. It has been 9 weeks exactly today she has been flowering, strain is unknown bag seed, this is my first grow does this look ready? Trics are all cloudy with some amber. 5%-10% are amber I would say,

  3. Depends on what kind of high you want. I'd say start flushing if you haven't yet

  4.
    ^ This.

I'd personally give it another week or so and wait until the trics are around 50% amber but, that's just my preference.
Like CanadianOrganic said, it depends on what kind of high you want really.

  5. I did a complete flush around 5 days ago, 7 gallon smart pot so I ran 14 gallons thru it, it hasn't had any nutes since like 9/11 or 9/12 I forget I have everything wrote down, I was using General Organics go box. Full strength doses every third watering roughly.

When you guys flush during the last 2 weeks how many times do you do it, do you do complete flushes? Or do you just flush once and continue to feed with just plain water? I appreciate all the help and will take any advice and input.

  6. Also do you go by the trics on the sugar leaves or the buds themselves or both?

don't "flush" flush :confused_2: does that make sense?

a final flush is simply water without nutes for the last 2 weeks

i'd chop as soon as you can ;)

  8. I would wait at least one week, perhaps even 10 to 14 more days. They will still gain weight. Your leaves are just starting to yellow off. Stop all nutrients and allow the leaves to be cannibalized by the plant. Another sign they are almost done is in the final week the plant will consume approximately 50% less water than normal. IMO, looking at trichomes are a good method of determining ripeness, but are not the end-all-be-all answer as to when to harvest. You need to look at the calyxes - not the leaves. I can look at your photos and tell you it is too early to worry about trichomes. Wait until you see all the other signs - yellowing off, hairs receding (not just changing color), lack of new growth, less water consumption, etc. Only then would I pull out a loupe to scope the trichomes.

Don't harvest for a particular type of high. If you want a head high grow a Sativa. If you want a body stone grow an Indica. Harvesting an indica early for a head high is simply a bad method and people need to stop recommending as such.

  9. Those pics were after I picked a lot of dead and yellow off, leaves have been dying for the past 2 weeks

  10. Yeah I was also wondering the exact same question, do you check out the sugar leaves or the actual buds to determine the trichome readiness?

  11. Because many of my sugar leaves have 50% amber while the actual buds show like 5% amber.

  12. That plant is about a week past ripe...

AMBER trichs ARE BAD!!!! They are CBN, what THC turns into after it degrades... it is what gives schwag weed it's head ache inducing properties. If you want a couchlock buy an indica grow it and harvest it when you have 5% amber... If you want a nice uplifting high grow a nice sativa grow it and harvest it when you have 5% amber.

Too many people sacrificing quality for quantity by letting their trichs degrade into CBN... smh

  13. I guess you didn't read when I said it barely has any amber, 5% is being nice, it's prolly more like 1 or 2%

You will always be able to find clear trichs as long as new calyx and pistils are growing which will be until you harvest or the plant dies. I wasn't talking to you in particular mainly the people suggesting you wait another week or 2... that plant is past its prime and every day forward it is just becoming less and less potent... but hey like everything on here do what you want.

Also I did read you said 5-10% amber with the rest cloudy... that means you are on the downswing of quality.

  16. You just said to harvest when it is 5% amber, how is it way past due then?

  17. I mean technically by what you just said it is still not ready because it is actually not even 5%, for ever 100 cloudy trics there is maybe 1 or 2 amber

Almost everything you said is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

If you want immature marijuana that WILL give you a headache - listen to this guy and pick early.

  19.
What that amber trichs are CBN?? That is a fucking scientific fact bro. You do know what effects CBN has on the body right? It isn't one of the positive cannibinoids. Effect is in the species indica or sativa... if you harvest a sativa with cloudy trichs you will get a nice active buzz, if you harvest an indica with cloudy trichs you will get more of a couchlock buzz. ANY weed with 50% amber will be a heavy headed, lazy inducing, nappy time buzz because that is what CBN does.

  20. Julius do you get that effect from letting your medicine go to 50% amber?
