He was a pretty shoddy singer, but his songwriting and power was phenomenal. There's a very dissonant and unorthodox guitar solo in this song, but I think it perfectly conveys the message of the song. Lou Reed was a true artist on many levels.

Here's a question for you all. Do you prefer Diano's Maiden or Dickinsons Maiden?

  8. Everything Iron Maiden does is great but I prefer Dickinson.

  9. And I love Maidens early metal punk hybrid sound they had their first couple albums. So raw. But I also love how Dickinsons Maiden is more intricate and more 'heavy metal' and rocks hard as ever. So point is, I can't play favorites with them haha

  10. Probably Diano because his vocals were rougher around the edges. Dickenson is a great vocalist but I think he is just too good if that makes sense.

  11. I've been on a Kenny Loggins spree lately.

  13. No offense, but if you want a guitar hero, wouldn't that be someone like Slash from GnR?[IMG]

slash? he has chops but his playing doesn't inspire me. Clapton's soul pours out when he plays, Its always resonated with me. Clapton's music is the reason I started playing guitar .

Also if I was basing this off technical abilities, Satriani, Vai and Gilbert would be top of my list.

    Fuck Slash
