ultimate DWC grow room setup pound per plant

  1. hello all!I'm working on redesigning my current grow room. I will list the schematics of my room under here but first I want to talk about the system that would be right for me. I have a 32 site 5 gallon bucket, 200 gallon total system.I've been running 8000 watts of lights. I will be replacing the system with an undercurrent system. My goal is to maximize the efficiency of my room. I will be moving from the 5 gallon buckets to 13 gallon buckets. here are the two systems that I am looking at but I am up for any opinions from many educated commercial or large-scale growers.

    Or

Room size is 13'5 x23'11 (I will be extending the pipe to the reservoir and placing it on the outside of the room)
    4 ton / 48000 btu a/c unit
8 1000watt lights on comerical light movers.
    200 pint a day humidifier
    Co2

on a side note I have ran into my fair share of diseases and pests. tired of trying with the bennies! I will be running an ozone generator through my air stones!

my concerns with the larger system would be not enough room to do anything.
my concerns with the smaller system would be not enough product.
I would like to be able to veg for no more than 3 weeks.

  2. Try bigger than 13 gallon pots. Try 28 gallon tubs each plant. Veg 6 weeks. Build it with 2 inch PVC pipe out and 1 inch in. Maximize root zone....bigger roots will get you better yield. More lumens at canopy will increase yields. Maybe redesigning grow room should include checking into new hood designs. If done right you will crop several pounds per plant.

  3. 1. "Try bigger pots and veg longer"
I am a medical caregiver and I'm looking to maximize my grow.
I have 2 rooms of this size and 1 smaller room that I will be vegging in.
if I had 8 weeks strains then I will be vegging for 4 weeks if I have 10 weeks strains then I will be vegging for 5 weeks and so on. like I said my goal is to maximize so I will be most likely running 8 weeks strains. Which allows for 4 weeks of veg.
Side note: I've hit 15 ounces on a 5 gallon bucket. And 5 gallon buckets only hold about 3.5 gallons of water. With a thirteen gallon bucket it hold 10 gallons. that's three times as much water. for my setup because of stayib compliant with laws while maximizing my grow area I believe that 10 gallons would be plenty of water.

    2. "Build my own system"
I've done this many of times at least 10. Like I said I want to go with a professional set up for the ultimate grow. tired of all the little problems.

    3. " try better hood"
I don't understand how you know what kind of hoods I have if I did not list them. I have Magnum XXXL. I don't really know of any hoods that are better than that

everything I've stated or expressed in this post is my opinion please feel free to inform me and correct any of my opinions that might be incorrect thank you for your knowledge.

  4. something to look at are the new double ended bulbs they are supposed to have a broader spectrum. i just got a bunch of them to try out with an ebb and flow system and ill be putting them in next week. but im really impressed with the reading i did on them might be worth ur time to atleast look into them

  5. google growlite og hood your xxxl hood with a 1000 watt bulb gets dominated by an OG with a 600 watt bulb. this is the facts. im not knocking your xxxls, im stating a proven fact.

if you want to spend $$ buy undercurrent if not and u want 13 gallon square undercurrent buckets try flow-n-grow.com they make the undercurrent square buckets and with titans flow n grow flood n drain.
building a tub system will enable you bigger plants more space for roots. you give each plant a 2 x 2 growing area right? well the tubs dont take up that much room. the 18 gallon tubs are 17 tall by 24 long by 16 wide i use for veg 1 plant right in the middle.
google Heath Robinson rdwc tub grows or monster dwc tub grows....
