So I have been smoking flower for a long time, but I recently got in contact with some wax. I didn't want to just do it in just a bed of ash or a joint cause I know how inefficient that is, but I don't have money for a whole nail/some rig at the moment. I was thinking though if I got a glass screen I could put the dab on top of the screen in my bowl, then I would torch a glass rod and press the rod on the dab and inhale. Or I was thinking I would torch the glass screen directly while it was in the bowl, then press the dab into it and inhale. Would either of those work? go to your local head shop and find a cheap e-cig type of deal for concentrates such as wax. you can put enough in the chamber to get 3 or 4 monster hits and the battery will last 20+ hits before you need to recharge the battery. the one i have is called "magic stick" and cost me 25$. aside from that, you can smoke concentrates a few different ways on the cheap. the easiest would be to get a tiny glass cup or jar to hold the concentrate, then a glass wand / poker that you will get really hot and will vape the concentrate with and a tube of some kind {paper towel tube would work great as would a piece of PVC pipe} that you would use to inhale the vapor with. 1) put enough concentrate on a glass saucer {small plate} or drinking glass for 1 or 2 hits. 2) get one end of the glass wand really hot and poke the dab of concentrate. it should smoke {vaporize} so the guy has to be ready with the tube to inhale { a butane torch works great for this. a real torch not a fucking cheesy ass lighter }. 3) have 2 peeps ready with tubes to inhale the hit as the glass wand is causing the concentrate to smoke. the reason i say 2 people is that sometimes the heat is off on the glass wand or maybe there is to much concentrate for one person to finish. you dont want to waste the concentrate ya know!! you could go on the super cheap and use things that could make you sick but only fucking idiots do that. i was using a stainless steel knife to hit concentrates like that but i found out that stainless can be poison if heated to hot so i would go with glass wands / rods instead. also the heat temp is something you want to play with. to much heat and you waste the hit, to little heat and it vaporizes to long and you waste the hit. so play with the temp of the wand a bit to find out the perfect temp. i do that on my dome-less Ti nail by getting it hot for 20 seconds and stopping the heat from the torch. then i count 7 more seconds to let it cool enough. then i put in the concentrate and take my hit. the same applies to the glass wand you are using. to be honest though, the little 25$ special works the best for stealth toking in public and for a single user. where as having 3+ people you kind of need something that works a little better by volume like the glass rod trick. i am sure there are other ways to dab on the cheap but these 2 are the 2 best that worked for me. hopefully you get a little something from this and you can make it work. blaze on!!
