Quartz nail questions

    Hey guys I'm going to be picking up this sweet new sovereignty rig that just came out and it has a Quartz nail. I've only ever used titanium and glass once or twice.

    My questions are: do you have to season a Quartz nail? If you do I'll just be dropping some reclaim on it about three dabs. Not smoking it.

    And can you tell when it gets hot enough? I always got my ti nail like half way red and then waited till that went away. Will a Quartz get red? Or will I just have to learn when it's ready.

    It will get red.. The only thing you have to worry about with the quartz is the more you use it.. The air holes will fuze shut after awhile. Titanium is the way to go.

    U dont need to season it and heat it like you would a glass or how you heated your ti

    lol you definitely need to season quartz. and the slits should never fuse together, your little butane torch will never get anywhere close to the melting point of quartz.

    not saying your wrong in any way, but why would you season quartz? I thought it was just to keep ti from oxidizing and to keep like a "layer" in between the ti and your errl? I got some more readin to do lol. But i have also never heard of them gettin close to hot enough to fuse back together, sounds like they were duped for fake quartz or their like using an oxy acetaline or however u spell it

    unseasoned quartz is gross, season it and it tastes fantastic. thats really all I need to know to know that quartz needs to be seasoned. I seen it right before my eyes.

    yeah idk about the ceramic, never had one so I've never hit a fresh one. by buddies ceramics were always well seasoned :p

    Thanks for the tips guys, still tryna scoop up a HIVE so i dont have to keep switchin my HE between rigs

    the flavor on those is amazing at the right temps! Make sure to have something to carb it with.
     
    hot dabs on ceramic nails are so harsh, I feel like it makes my throat really scratchy like I just smoked a joint of shitty weed :/

    i always always use a carb cap, or if its got a dome just thumb it lol. finally got my gf takin low temps too, it took her forever to get it right lolol
