I have 2 plants. This is only occurring on 1 plant on 2 of the main colas. I gave my plants nutrients about 3 days ago. It has been a great flowering season so far. A few days ago it rained for about 10 hours and I just checked up to find this... Mold, eh? Or could it possibly be root rot or a nute problem? Now should I... Go back there ASAP and try to cut this out? Cut this plant down? (it has about 2-3 weeks before it's done) Let it continue its course? Thanks everyone
Cut out the mold and dissinfect the scissors with ISO after each surgical chop. You don't want to spread the spores around. I would do a very close examination of the entire plant and monitor often. I had a bit in this last grow and I just chopped the tip of the cola right off. I had enough to spare, so I didn't care about a little waste.
I think your top is dieing. The leaves look brown. It looks like powder mold. I remember mixing a spray together to help that last yr but this yr I just took where it was off and washed my hands after because it can spread if you touch others. My plants seemed ok after. And look everytime to make sure no more showed up. Im not a pro but thats just what I did.
You think the top is ready to harvest done, or it's fucked done? And I'm on it...going to chop it in a few. Thanks for instant replies. Great help
Granted they're grown in about 6 hours of sunlight, they're alright. I have maybe 4 or 5 other colas close to that size. I only found mold in one other small chunk of bud. On a better note I just cut out this cola and i salvaged half of it. Probably going to cut them down in another week or two max. EDIT: I remember a few years back my plants became prey to mold and it didn't seem that big of a problem. After I cut out the mold I let the plants grow for another week and no more mold spread on the plants. I don't think this particular mold is as aggressive as people think. I didn't use any ISO or any disinfectant on my cutters, etc.
I have a big shit genetics sativa thats has leafy bud from hell and some lower branches looking funky. Ill trim any crud off then blast it into oil anyway. All my big ones are awesome. Now days my indoor plants are living in a minor wind storm LOL. Oh the good 70% neem oil works as an insecticide, miticide and fungicide. Keep some around from now on. $20 for some protection. http://www.hydroponics.net/i/139765
How are your indoor plants in a minor windstorm? Also that looks like a great product to get for next season. Is this blue type mildew looking spotting something I should be concerned with?
Ive seen it here and there on previous grows, but this onelooks pretty accelerated. Curious what it is..
