I was pulled over and was smoking a joint I know it was stupid but the officer gave me a citation for marijuana possession in a motor vehicle it is my first offense besides a speeding ticket, the cop said nothing was gonna be mailed, so my question is will I go to court for this or is it I pay the fine and that's it, if not what possible consequences would come out of this and if this ever happened to any of you could you tell me what happened, thank you (I'm not a minor by the way)

I believe it is a payable fine. I am pretty sure it's just a petty misdemeanor. You can try to go to court and see if they offer some kind of diversion program for a first offense. Happened to me in 2006. I am in Minnesota, also. I just paid the fine and moved on with my life. I would suggest doing whatever you can to keep it off your record though. I wish I would have.
It is a misdeminor so that's why I'm asking and the amount needs to be more than 1.4 and I had .8 they scaled it and then told me that the rez from the 2 bowls I had would be over the 1.4 mark if that makes any difference
I'm pretty sure they can't score resin. If they can, make them scrape it from your bowl with their fingernails/.
