Is weed becoming dangerously potent?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by tokeswithblokes, Sep 27, 2014.

  1. Hello all, I wanted to ask all of you that do you think weed will become dangerously potent?
The potency has definitely changed over time with new growing methods and I just wondered that maybe there will soon be a potency out there that no one is gonna be able to handle.  A lil blazed atm and just looking for a discussion.

    Thanks.

    We can only hope

tbh I think growers have just brought efficiency to a new level compared to even 15years ago, and we are at that peak now. aficionados are not trying to diversify and cross strains anymore, now its all about finding the elusive pure and 'untouched' strains

  3. lol hell yeah tolerance wouldn't matter and everyone is on the same level...i'll be waiting

Anytime, anyone uses "weed" and "dangerous" in the same sentence, I laugh hysterically.

  5.
    kk

  6. I definitely hope so. I've noticed that dank is becoming easier to access.

  7. Is sex feeling dangerously good?

  8. People can handle concentrates which are stronger than flowers will ever be so I don't see how weed could ever be too intense considering there must be a maximum thc:plant material ratio

  9. I believe there isnt much to worry about.

look at it this way, some food gets support from GMOs to help it grow/keepitfresh/what not & i believe thats kinda the same to the methods they used to grow weed now adays. Not exactly the same but just comparing the 2 as an example.

If you fail to understand, i have trouble explaining my point of view sometimes so sorry :p

  10. yeah, understood.  good point

  11. no, dangerous is an overstatement. and i also dont think weed has "become" more potent. more sophisticated growing techniques have maximized the potential, but the potential was certainly there in the past. i do not believe cannabis has undergone some kind of rapid evolution in the last 40 years or so.

  12. weed is becoming much more potent for sure. no denying that

but people are already dabbing 83%+ concentrate oils and vaporizing hashish... i don't think there will ever be buds we can't handle. we all just have to believe in our fellow stones

  13. Lol, I literally laughed out loud.

Cannabis has been decreasing in potency since medical cannabis and dispensaries.

  14. lol it's surprising how people can act considering this is forums for marijuana users...

  15. well first you have to give facts on why more thc is bad or dangerous.

  16. Dangerous weed levels for me would have to test out at like 100%THC. That will never take place in a flower. The highest i have ever seen in a flower is 35% THC. I have smoked up to 30% THC in a flower.

  17. 100% THC wouldnt even be dangerous. the most dangerous thing about weed is stupid people....so there really isnt anything dangerous with weed at all

I understand that. I said dangerous level for me. Because I would be smokin that shit round the clock and i would defenetly green the F out to where i am completely non functional.

  19. It's only more potent for medicinal patents who need it to be for their ailments
