Do not buy a Silver Surfer Vaporizer

  1. I know---say it isn't so.'---It can be the best vaporiser in the World (which it isn't), but when the customer service really sucks-----the best vaporiser in the world would be no bargain to me even if for free. I'm a guy that has never made a Customer Service Complaint.


    Please tell this manager the value of customer service and tell her to send Ben Fuked's Doctor the new Vaporizer

    My story:::

    I bought a Silver Surfer at local head shop that was a distributor for them. Within two weeks I broke the Heater Cover and never really got any use out of it. It was good, but not great to me, so it ended up on the shelve. This May a few years latter I thought I would give it anther go and went back to the Head shop I had bought it at and was informed that that no longer we dealing with the Silver Surfer Vaporiser, because of their poor customer service.

    I called Silver Surfer personally as I wanted a verbal contract where time was of the essence with her as I was traveling out of town and staying at one of my Doctors, who is also a good friend, and I needed it to be shipped immediately as I need to get back home in another state. I also called to talk to her personally, because I told her I needed and old style heater cover. I let her know I was in stage 4 with cancer having spread to my lungs and I need a vaporiser for extreme nausea as it has spread to my stomach too. She gave me her word it would be shipped the next day. I wish I would have never called her and went down and bought a new Vaporiser (another brand) that day as it would have saved me a few hundred dollars.

    After 5 days at my friend the Doctors house I felt like I would be intruding with his mother and sister coming from out of town to visit. I called and emailed silver surfer and they weren't getting back to me as I was puking now in a motel room. When I finally got ahold of the manager she told me she hadn't gotten back to me as she had taken afternoons off. She told me she never shipped it and blamed it on new employees in the shipping dept. I was upset she never shipped and she told me if I didn't like it she would refund my money. Very smartass I though knowing I would have all that money out for one of their vaporizers that would be of nu use to me. She then promised to ship the next day and send priority mail at no charge--no charge the shipping was supposed to be free and I was to have got it days ago. 5 more days paying for and puking in a motel room and no parts for my vaporiser and an expense of about $300 I called her only to find out she never shipped and no she would send priority mail the next day at no charge. I'm can be pretty stupid,, but screw me a few times and I'm not waiting in a motel room puking to get screwed that way again.

    I had already canceled my credit card not wanting this gal that had lied and disrespected me to have my credit card information. I stopped at one of my branches as I got back into Oregon and got a new credit card and told an officer my story. She said to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. 1st head shop I came to I went in and told them the story and what I had been through with Silver Surfer and they gave me 25% off a great vaporiser. If only I would have gone straight to them. I was able to get back to my boat and sail down the west coast with the relief of that new vaporiser.

    After sailing down the North West coast and finally getting back down to Humboldt Bay, I found an item had been shipped to the Doctors address. I got it and it was the new style heater cover and would not work for me---months of Bull Shit--time- money I still didn't have a working Silver Surfer Vaporiser. I e-mailed her back with hassle getting ahold of her------she apologized again---like all the other times--JEEEZUS-----and told me I would get 25 per cent off my next purchase. I want nothing more do with these people and they are offering me 25 per cent off my next purchase as goodwill. She eventually told me my purchase would be refunded and I could explain to them what I needed. Again I wanted nothing more to do with her or them and didn't want to start out again at ground zero and goes through all that shit again. I had paid for a new vaporiser. The new vaporiser I had to buy plus the motel ran my costs way up.

    I was curious of how she had treated other customers, so I did a little research and came up with a lot of poorly treated customers by a manager that had even stated she didn't care about customer service, because Silver Surfer sold the most vaporizers.

    Here is a post from someone that had talked to and had done business with her at Silver surfer, She admitted to all this, but said things had been changed. I'm going through the same Bullshit so I was finally a little funny to me. This young girl needs to learn a couple years is just like a blink of the eye in life and she isn't changing her character overnight.

    Oh, and about the customer service at 7th floor ... the store manager is so very young and she could've easily told someone some dirty laundry about the company. Yesterday I was talking to her and complaining about a certain rude young man running the register there. She began to tell me how he was on his last chance and how he's always doing messed up stuff. So yeah, she's a little loose with her lips and the whole org is unprofessional. But I don't care since the product is so awesome. I did tell her about their bad customer service rep online and she just shrugged it off ... "we're the top-selling vape in the country ... Willie Nelson bought 40." So I encouraged her that such a great product needs equally great customer service. [​IMG] She is helping me sort out a situation and, if not sorted out, I'll definitely be bitching to you guys about it to help me spread the word. [​IMG]

    What I want::

    I no longer want a Silver Surfer. What I want is for her to change they way she treats paying customers that are trying to do business in good faith. We don't need more bad marks by a few in the MMJ and medical industries. I want a new Silver Surfer vaporiser sent to the DR where other medial patients in a situation similar to mine can get some relief.

    If I had stage 4 cancer I sure as hell wouldn't be wasting my time writing a wall-o-text and playing the victim over, as PH stated above, a shipping error.    I would think that with the limited time I had, I could find something MUCH better to do than to come to GC and with my very first post..................slam a vaporizer company.   
     
    And, btw, you can't call Silver Surfer.   There's no such company.    It is a vaporizer made by 7th Floor and considering all of the communication that you claim that you have had with them, you SHOULD know this, therefore, I think this post is totally bogus.
     
    With that said though, 7th Floor has had more than their far share of customer service issues but never bad enough that I would discourage anyone from purchasing one of their products.    I would, however, suggest that you make your purchase from one of their distributors rather than directly from the company.    Distributors and retailers usually provide better customer service being that that is their bread and butter whereas manufactures are more concerned with what they do best which is...............making stuff.

    Hum,  have you kicked this issue upstairs?    Typically, customer service reps, even if they call themselves a manager, are on the lowest rung of the corporate ladder as well as being the lowest paid.   I suggest that if this issue is still unresolved, to call back and ask to talk to Steve Kelnhofer.   He's the owner.  
     
    Hum, I'm 70 years old and kinda understand what it's like having more years behind you than in front of you.   It's just that there have been more than a few around here lately that have loved to play the victim card and it just drives me a bit batty.
     
    Edit:   On a side note, I'm envious of your fishing.    I'm from SoCal and used to go down deep into Mexican waters for blue fin.   So much fun.  Obviously, that was eons ago.    Now people say, "What's a blue fin?"   Sad........

    I'm a fishing fool and Would much rather deal with fishing which I am. I caught a few Albacore on the 1s part of my sail south from Canada to Newport Oregon last September. My nephew went with my on that leg as I had just had a kidney removed. The Tuna were Hogs.
     
    The rest of the coast I wanted to do by myself and I went 70 miles out trying to catching albacore. Got hit with a south wind with waves breaking over my bow. Pulled in all my  hand lines and left one pole out, while heading east to Brookings in a more favorable wind. Pulled into the dock and had a 12 pound salmon on.
     
    With the El Nino this year it has been a poor year for Albacore, but they have been catching lots of exotics like Blue Fin and more Yellow Tail. This is the year you should have or maybe can still catch one in close down there. Maybe try a charter boat. I've read of a lot of Blue Fin being caught down there.
     
    Monday someone in my local fishing club caught 24 albacore between 23 and 38 pounds about 60 miles out and that warm water is moving closer as I type. My boat is a motor sailor with a 700 mile range, but I want them within 40 miles. When I'm able to vaporize, I feel little to no pain or nausea.
    In the last 10 years I've got to cruise the South Pacific (not on my boat), done the Inside Passage to Alaska twice, and driven to Cabo with my zodiac fishing the beaches an for tuna out of San Jose Del cabo. I love Bahia Conception and having island to myself and getting tons of steamers with the Zodiac.
