Hey so I've stopped smoking for almost 3 months and now just recently every night I've been having dreams. Sometimes they are weird ones like me being killed or me dying and some are just weird and can't explain but every night I've been having dreams, is that normal? When I used to smoke heavily everyday I would never have any dreams but now I dream every night, if not every other night, has any one else experience this? Is it normal?

  4. You always dream, usually 5 to 7 each night.
Think of your dreams as you are now with full consciousness.
People who say they have a lucid dream has to do with awareness of the consciousness in the dream.

Like how people see out of the ordinary stuff happening in a dream, when people realize this they become aware of their surroundings in the dream.

Like hitting a light switch, people in dreams wouldn't see it as anything, but someone who is more aware in the dream state may realize they are dreaming.

Like pinching yourself and not feeling the pain but an overall numbness instead.

  5. Well since it's the internet anything goes.

I've had the same experiences. I do not REMEMBER any dreams while I am a full time stoner. The only dreams I can recall were when I was sober for 3 years, and the 1st week was intense dreams.

I've read doctors saying cannabis disrupts REM sleep and why you don't remember dreams.

  6. When I stopped smoking, It was the same for me it was awesome! I remember I had one dream where I took some party unmentionables  and I could literally feel the high coming on and I was high in my dream. It was an awesome dream is all I can say.

  7. We are constantly dreaming, but its only a matter of which dream is remembered. Some will seem like they actually happened while others you cant remember. Cannabis slows the breathing in sleep which also slows the amount of REM sleep that person gets, meaning dreams aren't recalled as much when smoking weed.

  8. We only remember the last ten minutes of our dreams, this is when brain is waking up and gaining more consciousness and so then we see what our brain is doing to entertain itself

  9. I've had dreams and remember all of it, but it's rare.

Ever have a dream that continued for a week? I had one during a sinus infection gone wrong and had a singular dream that lasted a week and immense information.

  10. your dreams about dying are the manifestation of your subconscious feelings of wanting to die in a life where you don't smoke weed.
good luck im sure you'll figure out how to handle this

  11. Happens to me some times too! I never quit but I slow down on the daily use due to work schedules and other life stuff. I first have trouble getting to sleep and then have crazy realistic dreams..not always bad ones but always strange and full of people I haven't seen in a long time. I wouldn't be concerned! It's your body adjusting to changes

  12. That said...I still have regular dreams while at my highest stages of stoner hah. You could always participate in a sleep study at a local university. It's usually a weekend and they asses your sleep and give you the results and you even get paid for it! It's university students overseen by professors but it's always the cheapest option and if anything is out of wack you can go see pros after. Just an idea for ya!

  13. sucks for you, I remember dreaming 95% of the time...great dreams too, some kinda weird because its a mix of memories now, from the past and some shit that never even happened (like me goin to college at my jr. high but its in some different state/country while having some supernatural powers and gettin laid and smokin/growin weed n shit).... and I get baked all the time..maybe your brain is just lame?

  14. I never remember having dreams, but I think they still happen.
I do have the occasional lucid dream where I freak out then wake up at 3am gasping for air, but mostly I just kind of zone out then when I zone back in, it's morning. hahaha

Weed stops dreams. Something to do with REM sleep or some shit.

  16. If you guys want to have crazier dreams and remember them better, take a B complex vitamin and fish oil pill before bed. It works quite well.

  17. One time (I had stopped smoking for a couple weeks) I had this dream that lasted for seriously like a couple years. In the real world it must have only spanned like a couple hours while I slept, but I was in the dream world for like three and a half years. I was living on Earth, but I was part of this space program thing, and they (the government?) were sending me to like Jupiter or something. It was one of the most intense experiences I've ever had, and really demonstrates the insane amount of raw power in the human mind. Waking up, I think I've been more disoriented than I've ever been, imagine living for three years then one day just waking up to realize next to no actual time has passed.... Crazy stuff
