Root Bound?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by HemphBleh, Sep 25, 2014.

  1. I think my plant my be root bound would it still flower or nah? The lower fan leaves just hang limp looking. Could it be not enough light hitting them? I'm use 2 100watt Cfl about 2-3 inches away from the top of the plant.

  2. Way to low in the bucket!! Fill the bucket to the brim with good organic soil. Your plant is not getting the light penetration that it needs. Every inch of that plant should be exposed to its light source.

Not to mention root binding, and or root rot if you don't have drainage holes.

  3. This plant is literally 3 ft under.
They need direct light to instruct them how to grow,
that shitty lighting is gonna mess it up.
It needs deep space an entire bucket, cause if the root growth gets stunted the whole plant will just stop growing.

  4. You can easily put your hand around the base of the stem flip her down side up, she will slide right out, plop her right into an identicle bucket about 3/4s full depending on how much soil you have it in. Fill the sides with fresh soil and top dress wit it too. Give her some water and a week later her roots will be digging through the fresh soil. Give her another week after that and start flowering.
